Maersk Oil Kazakhstan is looking for Transformation Officer and support for the Managing Director
Background and purpose of the position:
As part of Maersk Oil’s transformation journey, a new position as Transformation Officer and support for the Managing Director (MD) has been created to strengthen the local infrastructure, help drive performance and support Maersk Oil Kazakhstan in its transformation and implementation of Global Processes.
Reporting to the MD, the role will primarily entail supporting him and his deputy in managing and driving the transformation process and secondarily assist in ensuring efficient meeting and business process are adhered to in the management team.
The right candidate will likely have worked in the upstream oil and gas industry for a few years in a functional capacity and is now keen to see a broader perspective by supporting a wider business agenda.
The ability to interact with staff (at all levels, including senior management) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is therefore crucial to this role.
Key responsibilities and tasks for this position include, but are not limited to:
Managing, coordinating and driving the Maersk Oil Transformation in Kazakhstan including:
In close cooperation with the local Champions, tracking and driving implementation of Maersk Oil’s 10 Global Processes
Communication to the organization about transformation via newsletters, posters, and townhalls
Co-ordinate meeting and activities for the Change Agents
Be the entry point and responsible for liaising with Transformation Teams globally and under the Maersk Oil CFO who is sponsoring the Transformation processes
Develop content, supporting business performance and transformation for Management Team away days and arrange accordingly
Conducting relevant market/industry and/or research and reporting in support of important business decisions.
Work closely with Business Planning to drive seamless and efficient Business Planning, Performance Management and Leadership meetings in Maersk Oil, including managing the Executive Calendar and, in co-operation with relevant departments, ensure that all reports and files are submitted and available for the leadership in a satisfactory quality, form and in due time before meetings
Ensuring with Business Planning that relevant notes, updates, dashboards etc are communicated to the organization following Management Meetings
Assisting the MD and his deputy in all possible works likes in meetings, preparing documents and presentations.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have some experience in the upstream oil and gas industry and is now seeking to broaden his/her view and experience of the industry by supporting the leadership team in the running of the business and in the transformation of the company.
The candidate must be ambitious, open-minded, collaborative, team player and with a track record of delivering on targets and objectives
Education:
A minimum of Bachelor’s degree required preferably in an oil and gas discipline combined with some financial training. A technical background within oil and gas (engineer, geologist etc) with an MBA will be ideal.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience from upstream oil and gas, preferably within Kazakhstan
Fluent spoken and written English and Russian is a requirement. Kazakh is a plus
High level of personal integrity
Strong organizational capabilities
High levels of creativity, persistence, curiosity and enthusiasm as well as strong communication skills
Strong facilitation and presentation skills and an ability to work seamless with all levels of an organization
Ability to deliver quickly and under pressure when needed
Ability to work under minimal supervision
