Well-known international FMCG company is looking for the Trade Market Research Senior Specialist / Business & Sales Analyst
Responsibilities:
To provide, initiate, monitor and interpret market research data to help the business to understand the retail sales trends:
Provide the business with a periodic assessment of Segment retail sales with focus on Russia and other market audit information (share, price, distribution, offtake, etc.) for the total market, for the company and competitors.
Provide the business with information on the changing trade structure, esp. in Russia.
Perform the business requests on an evaluation of any shop test activity, merchandising, etc.
Provide the business with timely analysis of the external environment.
Analyze and interpret Trade research results based on ongoing market research projects.
Support in execution of new (ad hoc) projects and manage ongoing projects.
Assist Marketing and Sales to use market audit data and to understand the market.
Ensure the timing, cost effective and reliability of market data. Support in organization of special training events (how to interpret audit results, how to use software, etc) for company's associates.
Negotiate with agencies, support market research systems.
Perform special requests, analysis and projects for Marketing, Sales, MT.
Co-operate and support Business Planning for analyzing of new products, promotion effectiveness, estimating Segment market size and interpreting market trends.
Support decision making for Brands strategy within Planning, Marketing, Sales interpreting and communicating market audit data.
Represent the company in global projects and initiatives (Global Market share project, etc) in trade research area. Be key contact in interpretation of Russian Retail audit data.
Extend Demand Management Review process with periodic assessment of Macroeconomic factors impact on Demand. Evaluate size of impact and estimate potential risks.
Problem Solving/Challenges:
Interpreting results of research (Identify and analyze issues and trends, provide the business with the timely recommendations).
Resolving inconsistencies in data. Amending scope, parameters or the research projects in the light of changing circumstances.
Identification, analysis and resolving of issues during planning process based on Macroeconomics changes.
Resolving inconsistencies in data/results interpretation and communications while developing recommendations and participating in projects.
Requirements:
Higher Education (Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics educations as an advantage).
1-2 years relevant experience in FMCG, Analytical agency.
Degree with numerate/analytical background, statistics background desirable.
Systems skills required managing market audit computer systems.
Interpersonal skills in dealing with agencies, marketing and sales associates.
Advanced Excel knowledge. Power Point user.
Good (at least Pre-Intermediate) English
