Assignment

Ensure day to day nutrition expertise to support PepsiCo Research and Development, marketing and regulatory functions for PepsiCo's entire current and future range of products and brands in Russia and CIS.

 

Functional responsibility areas

Responsibility area - all businesses in Russia and CIS

  • Assist Senior Nutritionist in leading the nutrition agenda for PepsiCo Russia and CIS
  • Provide nutrition expertise to support all the Company's Brands
  • Plan and manage specific nutrition projects, utilising solid technical project management tools and skills to ensure objectives are accomplished on time, to the agreed standards and within budget
  • Work in cross-functional teams to leverage expertise in nutrition science and communication eg in developing consumer communications on nutrition and in claims substantiation
 

Key performance indicators

  • Consult on Global Nutrition criteria (GNC), Advertising to children (A2C), PepsiCo commitments in sugar, fats, salt reduction through all businesses in Russia to ensure global targets are met.
  • Cross business and cross functional consultations on nutritional claims and nutritional communication (e.g. PR campaigns support) for Russia and Ukraine.
  • Planned Nutrition projects accomplished in time, to agreed standards and within budget


Position requirements

  • Higher education; graduate in nutrition or biology (physiology) or medical education. Postgraduate
    qualification highly desirable
  • Profound knowledge of issues related to nutrition, health and food industry
  • Preferably 1-2 years experience of working in the food industry, or similar commercially focused environment, experience in leading or taking part in cross-functional/business global projects.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Ability to explain complex scientific issues/solutions to a non-technical audience.
  • Strives for high standards, seeks innovative solutions, drives continuous improvement
    of processes or methods and demonstrates a high degree of intellectual
    curiosity
  • Passion for creativity and innovation within a commercially driven environment
  • Cultural sensitivity/flexibility in responding to different cultures.
  • Self-starter, self-motivating - able to deal with uncertainty and complexity
  • Good team player.
  • Strong analytical skills - ability to interpret complex data and distil into useful and actionable information
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, ability to interact effectively and influence people, perfect decision-making skills, ability to multi-tasking.
