The Dow Chemical Company is offering great commercial career opportunities in a global and international environment. We are looking for young ambitious candidates who are interested to join our Commercial Development Program (CDP).
This program was created to give you the opportunity to learn and understand the processes, business strategies and Dow culture before starting in a Sales Account Manager role in one of our specialties business. It is a one-year rotational program consisting of various business related project assignments within the commercial function.
As an Account Manager you will work in a business-to business / industrial sales environment, with the major responsibility of interfacing with customers at all organization levels and with various functions ranging from purchasing, to research and development as well as production.
Recent graduates as well as experienced professionals (2 to 3 years) will be considered.
Key duties of the Account Manager include:
Managing the implementation of our sales strategy
Identifying and developing new business opportunities
Assessing market potential, future trends and competitive activities
Supporting communications programs
Managing a portfolio of projects that will guaranty a continuous and profitable growth
Profile required:
University Degree with preference in a technical discipline: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent; and/or specialization in Business Management
Recent graduate or candidates with 2 or 3 years of successful experience in the Sales & Marketing
Open minded, externally focus, inquisitive, creative, flexible
Fluent English is a must
A high degree of computer literacy (MS-Office, etc.) is required
Business acumen
Pro-active/ motivated person
Positive/ open mindset
Strong communication skills
Higher good quality education (could be chemical, could be other)
Driver's license/ driving skills - is a must
Ability to travel a lot - is a must
Besides the required technical competencies, self motivation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as customer focus are essential.
