6-th Bolyai-Gauss-Lobachevsky Conference

The series of the Bolyai-Gauss-Lobachevsky conferences has been started by the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Ukraine, Kiev.

  • The first one in 1997, in Uzhgorod (Ungvár), Ukraine,
  • the second one in 1999, in Nyíregyháza, Hungary,
  • the third one in 2002, inTargu Mures (Marosvásárhely) Romania,
  • the fourth one in 2004, in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia,
  • the fifth one in 2006, in Minsk (Belarus)

have been organized.

The 6-th Bolyai-Gauss-Lobachevsky Conference is organized by

  • Hungarian Academy of Sciences,
  • Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics,
  • National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine,
  • University of Debrecen,
  • Bolyai High School of Targu-Mureş (Marosvásárhely).

Scientific program

The scientific program of the Conference is planned to include talks on the following topics:

§         non-euclidean geometry, tranformation groups, homogeneous spaces, Lie theory,

§         non-euclidean mechanics, integrable systems, ergodic theory of dynamical systems

§         quantum mechanics, quantum dynamical and integrable systems, quantum field theory, quantum gravity, strings and superstrings

For the preparation of the Conference, the OC would like to known as early as possible the approximate number of participants. Hence, you are cordially requested to note this Conference on your calendar and to complete the Pre-Registration Form. Please, cut the corresponding part of the web page, and return the Pre-Registration Form, no later than 31 January 2008, to the Conference Office in Debrecen by e-mail or by regular mail.

Registration Fee

The registration fee of the Conference is 150 Euro. It includes the administration costs and all social activities for participants: coffee breaks, excursion, social meetings and Conference dinner.
