There is extended the list persons having the right to receive citizenship of the Russian Federation in the simplified order
The Federal Act N 163-FZ of October 1, 2008 (document is
in Russian) makes amendments to
article 14 of the Federal Act N 62-FZ of May 31, 2002 "
On citizenship of the Russian Federation" (document
is in Russian) pursuant to which foreign citizens and persons
without citizenship having the registration at the place of
residence at the RF subject territory chosen by them for permanent
living in accordance with the State program on rendering assistance
to voluntary resettlement to the RF of compatriots living abroad
may be admitted to citizenship of the Russian Federation in
the simplified procedure, without observance of terms about
residence at the RF territory, availability of legal means of
support and competence in Russian.
The Federal Act N 164-FZ of October 1, 2008 (document is
in Russian) ratifies the Agreement on interaction of states
- CIS participants in struggle with crimes in the sphere of
computerized information, assigned on behalf of the Russian
Federation in Minsk as on June 1, 2001, with stipulation that
the Russian Federation reserves the right to refuse in execution
of a request fully or in a part, if execution of the request
may damage its sovereignty or safety.
