Dozens of Brexit supporters staged a rally in front of Whitehall in London on Sunday demanding a second referendum on exiting the European Union not be allowed.
About 100 people took part in a protest organised by the People's Charter Group movement after several prominent politicians raised the prospect of a second referendum.
MP Steven Woolfe addressed to protesters, «We will not be defeated, we will challenge the remainer lies, we will challenge the remainer dictators and we will win and get our Brexit back completely.»
British Prime Minister Theresa May has stated that the UK government is looking for a two-year transition period following the deadline for withdrawal on 30 March 2019.

Italian pro-migration activist group Briser les frontiers marched on the French-Italian mountain border near Claviere and Moginevro on Sunday to protest migration laws at borders preventing the sanctuary of refugees.
The activists carried pro-migration banners as they travelled between the two mountains in a similar route which asylum seekers have been known to cross to get between countries often at great risk.
Italian and French mountain police blocked their paths however for most of the protest, but activists eventually reached their destination by staying close to the ski slopes.
Briser Les frontieres solidarity network member Daniele Brait explained: «In recent months there have been many attempts to cross the border into the Alps that seem to have become the new Mediterranean. People who have managed to survive the sea today risk their lives in these mountains.»

Guest speaker Melenchon, part of far right La France Insoumise party, followed the Die Linke chairperson, saying: «At the beginning, they said that it was against Iran, and now we understood it is against Russia. But no. Russia is not an enemy, it is a partner. Russia is a partner. No to war. No the armament. No compromise on war and peace. We don't want the Europe of defense.»
His speech was met with a resounding applause before Wagenknecht followed her party counterpart in explaining her displeasure at current conditions throughout Europe.
Wagenknecht said: «So I wonder where the Europe of Schulz, Merkel, Macron and others is leading to,» adding that «323 billion euros are going to stockholders in individual European countries, and at the same time we have a situation where poverty in Europe is at an all-time high, where so many young people are facing a life that offers them no chances, where education is being economised to the point where it no longer functions, where public institutions are decaying, where hospitals are completely underequipped, where countries are pressured to privatise and cut back on social benefits, and the dividends are bubbling more than ever before.»
The night ended with the leaders and guest speaker taking to the stage for a standing ovation.

The white sedan managed to go airborne before crashing and becoming wedged into the second floor of the office building. According to local police, a specialised fire truck was sent from Los Angeles to help extract the vehicle from the second floor of the dental office building.
According to the police investigation, the driver was reportedly speeding and on narcotics before the vehicle struck the street's raised median strip, which launched the vehicle flying into the air.

Germany: GDR-era escape tunnel unearthed in Berlin’s Mauerpark

The first excavation of an escape tunnel between East and West Berlin discovered last week started Monday morning at Berlin famous Mauerpark, after being hidden for more than 50 years.
The tunnel is five-meters (16 feet) under the ground and 80-meters (262 feet) long. It stretches from Eberswalder Strasse, which was located at the Eastern Berlin, to Oderberger Strasse in the West.
It was built in 1963 by a group of activist opposing the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). However, the tunnel construction came to a halt before it was completed.
One of the tunnellers, Carl-Wolfgang Holzapfel, returned to the site of the tunnel and explained how «Sunday nights we went inside and lived here until Friday next week. We slept here, we ate here, [initiator Gerhard] Weinstein brought us groceries.»
The Stasi, East Germany's secret police, shut down the tunnel and arrested the 21 presumptuous fugitives: «We just needed to push through the basement, and then the tunnel was unfortunately busted», said Holzapfel.
«The border patrol and the escapee were almost able to shake hands. On the one hand everything is done to prevent escapes and only one, two meters further, from the other side, the escape tunnels are being dug to get through. And that is packed here on this location and that is unique», said archaeologist Torsten Dressler.
The tunnel was discovered last week during construction works the area.

India and Israel praised the beginning of a «new era» in their relation following the signing of key deals in defence, agriculture and aviation on Monday. The deals were announced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in New Delhi, following talks between the two leaders.
Netanyahu was welcomed by Modi at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Indian presidential residence, on Monday. Modi called Netanyahu a «good friend» and praised the relations between the two countries, calling Netanyahu's visit «a fitting climax to the commemoration of the 25th year of diplomatic relations between India and Israel.»

Dozens of residents of the French town Beaucaire organised a picnic in front of Town Hall on Monday, protesting against a pork-free meal ban in the school canteens introduced by the mayor, Julien Sanchez, who is a member of the right-wing 'National Front'.
Director of the anti-racist association and rally participant, Laure Tandelet stated that her organisation «has alerted to the suppression of the menus of substitution by social networks». She explained that Sanchez «has decided to impose pork every Monday in the canteens of Beaucaire
and it is discriminatory and breaks the principle of republican equality».
According to Sanchez, alternatives to pork in the canteens for religious reasons do not meet principles of the French Republic. The ban is expected to disturb about 150 Muslim pupils, local media reports.
