Where the 4-wheel HiLo gained initial popularity for its ability to put 100mm wheels on 165mm boots, the additional frame length

Wouter Hebbrecht: 13, 9, And 8 Days To Go To Worlds
2008-08-28 14:21 peterdoucet

Below are Wouter Hebbrecht’s latest entries about the upcoming World Roller Speed Skating Championships;

This year I notice that even 10 days out only a select amount of countries are present! It will be interesting to make up the balance after worlds is over and have a look at how those people were performing compared to the ones that came in late!

Things have been going as usual at the track…the only thing worth point out is that France had a few trails on the track and they gave all of us an idea of how fast things can really go! The more i run times and see other skaters run times the more i believe a world record will be set in the 300m, that is if the wind can lay low for a few hours at final time! One other interesting fact is that Julien Despaux (France), the no. 2 of last years 300m TT will not start in the TT according to our ‘agents’ at the track ;-)

Back To 100mm? News From Team Levallois Sporting Club Roller Elite
2008-08-28 22:16 peterdoucet

Check out the Team Levallois Sporting Club Roller Elite site.

One of the recent news items posted discusses 100mm and 110mm wheels- Retour aux 100mm?- this is because a number of skaters who competed in the Coni X Race World Inline Cup (Berlin) used 100mm wheels.

You can read an English language article by Vincent Esnault- see Back to the 100mm?-

Actually, it was heavily raining in Berlin for the Coni X-Race. A large part of the skaters considered that, in these conditions, it was a best choice to compete with smaller wheels: lighter, more precise… And to stuck to the road with MPC wheels! The Storm Surge wheels were on the skates of each winner and each medalist!

Where the 4-wheel HiLo gained initial popularity for its ability to put 100mm wheels on 165mm boots, the additional frame length

Wouter Hebbrecht: 13, 9, And 8 Days To Go To Worlds
2008-08-28 14:21 peterdoucet

Below are Wouter Hebbrecht’s latest entries about the upcoming World Roller Speed Skating Championships;
