The inside of the fencing to the track is well-finished, smooth and safe, with almost nothing to catch a bodypart or uniform on, even when slid against in a crash - so although the track is built like an armoured car, it is quite skater-friendly.

Who would have thought that a dog skittling in front of a skater during the Inline One Eleven St Gallen would spark a debate in the thread INLINE 111 ST. GALLEN. In the end, williambegg and ultrask8 agree to disagree-

3 were gone & she was in a groupof 5, when a dog skittled her, have a look at the motor pacing back to the group in the Tour, after a crash or accident & then howlong they hold onto the water bottle when beside the team cars.

You don’t go 80km or 90 km to be knocked over by a dog, in all fairness the right decision was made.

There was no mat, it was an unprotected traffic island with a sign on it which I knocked down (luckily it was made of plastic), after hitting the curb at full speed (the impact was so hard, it bent the front portion of my frame sideways, ripping out the 1st wheel). I only noticed the island at 2m distance (I think after the skater in front of me mad a last second avoiding move, but I’m not 100% sure about that) as the people in front of me did not give any warning of the obstacle. My next memory is lying at the side of the road (about 20m away from the island as I later noticed).

I have plenty of news and updates for SSW, but it will have to wait.

My computer refuses to acknowledge that the internet exists. I grabbed Morgane’s computer to post this.

We are leaving for Padova, Italy in a few minutes- driving overnight! Yay!!

The skaters are starting to show up at the house- people who’s names and pictures I’ve only seen online. It’s nice to see them in the flesh.

I’ve been recruited to drive. Bill Begg, Guyjermoh, and a few others are part of the driving team that will take the 3 vehicles and many skaters over.

According to a chart downstairs, we’re racing a 200m time trial, 1k, 5k, 10k points, relay, and marathon Racing begins tomorrow at 3:30pm.

Its late, 1:00am Gijon-time, and we’ve just got back from DINNER! Not noteworthy in this part of Spain, where breakfast starts late, lunch comes around even later (2-3pm) and dinner somewhere around 10-11pm. Looking for somewhere to eat in Gijon at around 6 or 7pm? Expect your options to be limited. Everything will open up for dinner, you’ll just have to wait.

The inside of the fencing to the track is well-finished, smooth and safe, with almost nothing to catch a bodypart or uniform on, even when slid against in a crash - so although the track is built like an armoured car, it is quite skater-friendly.

Inline One Eleven &#38; The Dog

Who would have thought that a dog skittling in front of a skater during the Inline One Eleven St Gallen would spark a debate in the thread INLINE 111 ST. GALLEN. In the end, williambegg and ultrask8 agree to disagree-

3 were gone & she was in a groupof 5, when a dog skittled her, have a look at the motor pacing back to the group in the Tour, after a crash or accident & then howlong they hold onto the water bottle when beside the team cars.

You don’t go 80km or 90 km to be knocked over by a dog, in all fairness the right decision was made.

Thanks to frank, we also get vivid a description of a crash that occured 10km into the One Eleven-

There was no mat, it was an unprotected traffic island with a sign on it which I knocked down (luckily it was made of plastic), after hitting the curb at full speed (the impact was so hard, it bent the front portion of my frame sideways, ripping out the 1st wheel). I only noticed the island at 2m distance (I think after the skater in front of me mad a last second avoiding move, but I’m not 100% sure about that) as the people in front of me did not give any warning of the obstacle. My next memory is lying at the side of the road (about 20m away from the island as I later noticed).

A lot of skaters may be tied up with World championship committements, but a very top field of Internationals, willline up in Padova on the Friday & Saturday, Cecilia Baena, Alexandra Vivas & Tamara Llorens will all be present, along with 5 venezuelan skaters lead by the well performed Alexanda Bastidas, Rueben Martinez, Roman Christen, Wayne Begg & Juan Felipe Guturiezz are other top skaters who will take on Luca Saggioratto & Francesco ( Dancing Man ) Zangarini. Erica Zanetti & lots of other top Italian skaters.

So should be a great competition even the legendary Canadian Pete will be present.

Racing In Padova

I have plenty of news and updates for SSW, but it will have to wait.

My computer refuses to acknowledge that the internet exists. I grabbed Morgane’s computer to post this.

We are leaving for Padova, Italy in a few minutes- driving overnight! Yay!!

The skaters are starting to show up at the house- people who’s names and pictures I’ve only seen online. It’s nice to see them in the flesh.

I’ve been recruited to drive. Bill Begg, Guyjermoh, and a few others are part of the driving team that will take the 3 vehicles and many skaters over.

According to a chart downstairs, we’re racing a 200m time trial, 1k, 5k, 10k points, relay, and marathon Racing begins tomorrow at 3:30pm.
