Короткие Волны

Австралия
CVC 13650 seems to be on air with normal programming (whatever that is) of
pop style songs, and offers of cuddly toys if you write to them at an
address in Australia at 1645 on Nov.19. I assume this is the Zambia outlet
as I don't hear the two Darwin frequencies of 13635 and 13685 currently.
13650 is poor strength and going down.

There was no trace of WHRI on 15665 today (19th) so maybe that is a weekend
transmission only - same as the one on 13650?

As Wolfgang wrote earlier - the jamming noise affecting the D.Welle at 1400+
today was something different on both 11645 and 15645. A carrier came onto
15645 before the noise started so maybe that was the jammer, and the noise
spread across 15640? My own comment about the sound - written before I saw
Wolfgangs - was a 'pulsing, oscillating, squeaking noise'! (Noel Green, U.K. - dxldyg 19/11/2007)

5025, VL8K ABC Katherine, 1512-1520, Nov 20, running
late (scheduled for 0830*), OM with Aussie accent, about the only
thing I clearly heard was the ID: "ABC Local Radio", poor, this could
not compete with splatter from a strong CNR-1 on 5030 (Ron Howard, Canada - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

2485 VL8A, Katherine NT, 1911-1920, 17 Nov, English, (unreadable) talks;
15231 and equally poor on \\ VL8A 2310 & VL8T 1325. (Carlos Goncalves, Portugal - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

Tnx to the VL8s for keeping the 60m band interesting and
unpredictable. Nov 20 at 1329 I found R. Rebelde, Cuba, 5025, with heavy
co-channel QRM in English, the two at about equal levels and nearly zero-beat
--- could not tell whether fading was propagational or a slight SAH, maybe
both. Soon IDed as 105.7 ABC Darwin, 1330 news theme and news at the top of
their wacky hour. This signal was much stronger than the several Indos audible
on 60m, and would have been quite listenable if in the clear like 4910
sometimes is when it fails to shift to 120m at 0830. By 1455, VL8K Katherine
was atop Cuba, which by now is fading down anyway. Final check at 1511 found
ABC still good with little Cuba left, mentioning a Pavarotti CD, 1512 ID again
as 105.7 ABC Darwin. Why do they keep IDing only for this little FM station
with very limited range around one city, when they have worldwide coverage on
SW? Isn`t that at least worth a mention on the air? Surely back in Darwin they
are not unaware of the NT SW relays. Think small! (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

5025, VL8K, Katherine, NT 1154-1235 20 Nov. Running late
w/ ABC NT nx //2310, 2325..TC @ 1157 for "27 past 9" into new Aussie
music pgm..ABC NT MW ID @ 1202 & "on 738 ABC Alice Springs.." @ 1228
into ABC nx..signal improving against Rebelde as time progressed & was
weak but readable @ 1640 recheck (w/ QRM f/ CNR1-5030..CNR1 puts in a
consistently big signal every AM) (Dan Sheedy, Canada - dxldyg 22/11/2007)

Албания
Trying again to hear R. Tirana`s NAm service on new B-07
frequency 9915, Nov 22 at 2104, but could barely detect a carrier under high
noise level in this range, which is also subject to desensitization by
super-strong Pastor Pete Peters from WWCR 9975. That overloads the receiver
also risking cross-modulation on other 9 MHz stations if attenuation is not
applied. But R. Tirana with fair signal on 7430 at 2107, so again the European
service makes it while the NAm does not. I am sure RT would like to know how
well 9915 makes it into the east coast, as would I (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

Алжир
6300 Radio Nacional de la Republica Arabe Saharaui Democratica 2106 Excited talk in Arabic, then long ballad songs with acoustic guitar like on R. Mauritania (which has

been off the air at least for the past few days). (Steve George, MA USA Nov. 22 - CumbreDX 23/11/2007)

Ангола
4950 RNA-Canal "A", Mulenvos, 0035-0055, 17 Nov, Portuguese, pops & chat,
"Jornal da Hora" at 0100; 45333. (Carlos Goncalves, Portugal - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

Антарктида
Looking for LRA36, Nov 22 around 2000, not audible, but
rechecked at 2046 could barely hear some music on 15476, not 15475. 2101 some
talk mentioning Esperanza, and more music which was cut off in progress at
2102:15 and the carrier off a few seconds later (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

15476 ANTARCTICA. LRA36, 2039-2102*, 11/22/07, Spanish. Female announcer between Spanish-language pop tunes, M announcer at 2101 w/ID that sounded like "Radio

Nacional..." and more talk, then the beginning of a song which was cut off, and off air at 2102. I see Glenn Hauser also noted this. Poor, but that's still much better than

usual here. (Mark Schiefelbein, MO, USA - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

Аргентина
6214.2 Radio Baluarte (Puerto Iguazo) (Presumed),
2328-2330, 11/18/2007, Spanish. Pop music with talk by man. Poor

R Belarus 7360 at 2040 in German w/polka mx. Very faint and
noisy. Gone by TOH. (p) 18 November. (Liz Cameron, MI, dxldyg 19/11/2007)

33442, severe adj. QRM. (Carlos Goncalves, Portugal - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

6105.56, Radio Panamericana, 1003-1030 Noted a male in religious comments
in the Spanish Language. At 1008 music briefly then canned promo. This is followed
by music. At 1015, "..a hora en Panamericana, seis ..." by a male, then back to music.
Signal is poor to fair. Typically, this freq is silent as far as Panamericana is concerned.
Judging from the ease that today's logging can be heard, they must broadcast only
periodically and other times are off the air. Just an asumption. (Chuck Bolland, Clewiston, FL, USA, 21/11/2007)

6134.83, Radio Santa Cruz, 1022-1030 At tune in, noted local music segment. At 1024, live TC by male, comments. Signal was good.

Comments continue thru the listening period, but the signal never got better than
threshold. (Chuck Bolland, Clewiston, FL, USA, 24/11/2007)

4796.39, Radio Mallku, Uyuni, 0935-0945, Nov 24,
Bolivian folk music. ID at 0940. Weak. Poor with CODAR QRM.

Бразилия
5990, Radio Senado, 0955-1000 Noted a male in Portuguese comments. Mentions
the word "... en Brazilia ..." a few times. On the hour, canned ID then more comments.
Signal was poor to fair depending on the splatter on the freq. (Chuck Bolland, Clewiston, FL, USA, 20/11/2007)

Доминиканская Республика
6025.07v, R. Amanecer Internacional, Santo
Domingo, 0405-0453, Nov 19, religious singing, OM with time checks,
several short singing jingles (assume a station jingle), fair-poor,

Program of alternating religious talk and religious music. Poor
signal with heavy CODAR interference. SINPO 22222. (Jim Evans, TN, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

Египет
R. Cairo, 6290, Nov 18 at 2354 check, found good modulation and
strength in Arabic music, but heavy SAH of maybe 15 to 20 Hz! 0000 is the
nominal transition time between the ABS and ABZ sites on this frequency, and
obviously both transmitters were on and overlapping. Egyptians vs Egyptians!
(Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 19/11/2007)

6290 Radio Cairo (p); 2335-2350+, 20-Nov; Cmtry by M to fanfare
2344 then cmtry by W. All in AR. SIO=3+43-. Brief ute trills; @2339
started echo feedback making copy near impossible. (H. Frodge, Mi, USA - CumbreDX 21/11/2007)

6290, Nov 20 at 0001 still had two carriers from two Radio Cairo
sites colliding with heavy SAH; 0003 only the distorted one was left with
Arabic talk and music alternating (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

Checked R. Cairo`s European frequency 6250, Nov 21 at 2237
to see whether reactivated Equatorial Guinea is colliding with it. No sign of
the latter, so maybe confined to local mornings if still on the air as reported
recently. Cairo was playing Arab music, pausing at 2237 for the YL announcer to
close the English service until 2115 the next day; her modulation on mic was
more distorted than the music before and after. No further announcements were
made, as music kept playing until 2245 brief tone and off. Surely a better
signal even here than the so-called North American service from 2300 on 9465,
often inaudible with low MUFs.

Since I was monitoring T-giving afternoon at a time I usually don`t, I checked
to see how early R. Cairo could be heard on 48m. Nov 22 at 2039 it was
definitely there, but marred by slightly off-frequency 2-way SSB, which is
after all, what belongs in this frequency range. 6290 in Arabic was also barely
audible. Checked 6250 again just before 2115, and timesignal, six seconds late
compared to WWV, so why bother? And opening English with age-old Cairo theme;
what`s the name of it? Again no sign of Equatorial Guinea on 6250, and Brian
Alexander says he heard it in the morning only on Nov 17. That may have been a
special temporary reactivation (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

Замбия
5915 ZNBC, Lusaka, 1844-1857, 17 Nov, Vernacular, Afr. pops; 35433, blocked
by R.Slovakia Int'l. at 1857. (Carlos Goncalves, Portugal - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

4965, CVC-Voice Africa, 0320-0340, Nov 19,
English. Religious talks and choral ballads.
Fair/improving. (Scott Barbour Jr, Intervale, NH, USA - dxldyg 22/11/2007)

Зимбабве
4828, Voice of Zimbabwe (presumed), 0324-0353, Nov 19,
non-stop high-life music and songs, mostly fair, above average
reception, not // to 3396 (Ron Howard, CAnada - dxldyg 19/11/2007)

3396 ZBC, Guineafowl, Gweru, 1650-1658, 18 Nov, Vernacular, talks; 35322 but
2nd best 90 m band Afr outlet at this time after 3215 kHz AWR (t) via Talata
Volonondry (?), MDG, 1655*, 45333. (Carlos Goncalves, Portugal - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

3396, ZBC, 0308-0319, Nov 20, Vernacular.
Afropops w/ OM over music on occasion. Weak but clear.
Did not appear to be //4828 (Scott Barbour Jr, Intervale, NH, USA - dxldyg 22/11/2007)

AIR Guwahati 4940 was noted back on air at around 1600 UTC.
Went off the air at scheduled 1700 UTC.
All the SW frequencies were off air since 12th Nov as reported
by Gautam Sharma.
Earlier spoke to Station Engineer Mr.S.N.Basak who informed
that sw freq's were off air due to fault at power supply and spares
were arranged from Shillong. ((Alokesh Gupta, India - dx_india 21/11/2007)

9425, AIR (presumed) Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore) -
National Channel, 2248-2303, Nov 21, sub-continent music, fair till
QRM at *2300 from CRI via Jinhua, in listed Cantonese (Ron Howard, Canada - dxldyg 22/11/2007)

6165 INDIA. All India Radio (Delhi), 1248, 11/23/07, listed Sindh. Subcontinental-type sitar music, possible brief ID around 1259 then into a short presumed newscast.

Some co-channel QRM, probably China. Rapid fades, else fair/good. (Mark Schiefelbein, MO, USA - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

Индонезия
Nov 20 an above average day for 60m Indonesians. 4605 RRI Serui
was by far the best signal. What power does PWBR ``2008`` assign to this now?
Last year it was only 500 watts, but since then has been widely heard and has
got to be much more than that. All I ever heard on 4605 today was ``island``
music as I tuned back and forth, starting at 1333, with CODAR adding to the
beat; a very long pause between cuts at 1340; and music again at 1405; maybe I
missed some news on the hour.

Others also heard with non // programming, mostly music: at 1333 4750 (mix
China?) and 4870; 1405, 4750 and 4790; listening to 4790 at 1457 when it went
off abruptly amid music; that frequency was a tad high (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

4605, RRI-Serui (presumed) 1250-1332 20 Nov. T/in
to "warta berita" w/ ment. of Serui, drums/flutes @ 1256 (sounding
African/Peruvian, no ToH ID break & segued IN c&w and more traditional
music to t/out..signal not so good as Makassar-4750 but decent..pity
about the lack of ID, tho..(Dan Sheedy, Canada - dxldyg 22/11/2007)

Nov 21 not so good a day for 60m Indos, but RRI Serui was still
audible, unlike the others, just music at 1415. I have seen reports of this as
4606, so I measured it to 4604.9 or so (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

3976.1 RRI-Pontianak (pres.) 1158-1211 22 Nov. "warta
berita Jakarta" to 1200, fan-fare & SCI, RRI ID (missed site..) more
w.b. w/ phone reports to 1210 & then local mx..(Dan Sheedy, CAnada - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

Иран
5945.90 odd 900 Hertz at 1730-1828 UT, IRIB Kamalabad in Bosnian
hetting BBC Cyprus Persian heavily. (W. Bueschel, Germany - harmonics 22/11/2007)

7380 IRAN. VOIRI (presumed), 1340, 11/23/07, Japanese. Extended talk by F in Japanese, a vaguely Middle-Eastern sounding music bumper, then switched to M. Fluttery,

noisy. Poor. (Mark Schiefelbein, MO, USA - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

Испания
If you hear Spanish, especially Castilian on 13720 before 1400, it`s
not the RHC leapfrog spur of 13760 over 13740 CRI relay --- because 13740 isn`t
on the air yet, at least not Nov 18 at 1347 tho the 13740 carrier does come on
many minutes early. This weakish signal was instead REE, // 17595 with news of
Pakistan, Darfur. 13720 is in HFCC registered from 0600 to 1700, for W&CEu, at
0 degrees, but the REE frequency schedule
http://www.rtve.es/archivos/70-6805-FICHERO/FrecuenciasInvierno2007.pdf
shows 08-13 only, except Sat/Sun to 1400. So another caveat not to take HFCC
registrations as absolute; they are at times exaggerated, to allow wiggle room
in case a station wants to extend usage of a certain frequency. Since REE does
run to 1400 on weekends, however, both RHC spur and REE could be audible and
mixing on 13720 for a few minutes (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 19/11/2007)

We had Radio Waves, the not-really-DX program on REE, on the schedule
as UT Wed 0024v on 6055, but Wolfgang Buschel found an English program schedule
as of last March which showed it Monday on Eu/Af service, so repeated UT Tue to
NAm. Checking it out UT Tue Nov 20, interminable sillyballgame report was
airing instead, but RW finally started at 0032, and yes, they are still just
playing music, loosely related to radio. This time: Popa Chubby, blues singer
who had just appeared in Madrid on European tour, with ``Real Thing``, which
the host said was more anti-TV than pro-radio. After some searching, I found a
Youtube version from Paris:

I did check that freq around 0415 UTC today Nov 19 and there was an OM with
religious talk about prophet Mohamad till 0428 UT followed by Sahara music,
then an ID at 0430 UT it turned out to be RTM Morocco, local network from a
place called Sakiya Al Hamra, - I think that's located in Laayoune ... the
Western Sahara region.

Another ID around 0435 UT with religious programs as well till 0440 UT, 0443
another Sahara music about prophet Mohamad. The ID in Arabic, "Idhaat

XEXQ is back! I`ve been keeping a close watch on 6045 since R.
Universidad de San Luis Potosi disappeared almost 4 months ago. My last log of
it was Aug 3, in DXLD 7-092.

Finally, Nov 23 at 0625 I detected the tell-tale subaudible het mixing with KBS
World Radio in Spanish via Sackville on 6045. After that went off at 0629, a
hefty carrier of S9 +10 remained on frequency, and I kept listening until 0643,
but absolutely no modulation heard.

Retuned at 1352 and now there was classical music, good signal on 6045, Gaite
Parisienne. The can-can girls were celebrating with high kicks! Segues to more
pop classics with no announcements, XEXQ`s usual style, until 1359, timecheck
for 7:59, ID as R. Universidad, 25,000 watts on 1190 AM, no mention of SW. Then
a string of government PSAs including one for transplants from the Secretaria
de Salud, and another full ID for XEXQ including their phone number 826-1345,
8:02 TC and 1403 back to music. Still coming in well past 1452 at S9+10. It
will be interesting to see in solstitial conditions how far it can penetrate
north of the border during daytime, perhaps even at low noon.

There is more news here, as their MW frequency used to be 1460 with 250 watts.
Seems there has been a major upgrade to 1190 with 25 kW, along with a change in
transmitter site. Note the night power is only 300 watts.

John Callarman`s Mexican list of early 2007 has this entry:

1460 SAN LUIS POTOSI XEXQ "Radio Universidad*" San Luis Potosi. (250/250*)
Universidad de San Luis Potosi, General Mariano Aristo 245, Colonia Historico
78001 T: (444) 98-26-13-84 uaslp.mx/rtu
http://www.uaslp.mx/Plantilla.aspx?padre=1912 N 22-09-08 W 100-58-39
(1,000/500)(+ N 22-10-19 W 100-57-48 25,000/300 on 1190)

In this originally color-coded listing, the first part was from WRTH 2007, the
long URL from SCT, and the last part about 1190 from Fred Cantu`s website. I
haven`t found exactly what the plus symbol means in the lengthy introduxion to
John`s list, but maybe it`s construction permit.

Craig Healy`s Westlist, allegedly offline, came up in a Google search, the SLP
state page as of Nov 2006, already showing XEXQ on 1190 with 25/0.3 kW.
http://www.am-dx.com/lists/104stat.htm

There is precious little on the UASLP website about the radio station.
Searching on XEXQ, we got this item about a radio marathon when they were on
1460, date Thursday Sept 30, no year given, but has to be several years old
since in 2007 that was a Sunday:
http://www.uaslp.mx/Avisos.aspx?na=128

Oh, here are pages about this year`s Radio Marathon, which was on Sept 28, and
as of then they were already on 1190, with 6045 also displayed.
http://www.uaslp.mx/Plantilla.aspx?padre=1944
http://www.uaslp.mx/Plantilla.aspx?padre=1948

The page I had previously bookmarked showing their FM 88.5 program schedule, at
least, is now blank:
http://www.uaslp.mx/Plantilla.aspx?padre=1915

Both http://www.uaslp.mx/rtu and http://uaslp.mx/rtu no longer work.

Digging further into the UASLP website, found this about the station:
http://www.uaslp.mx/Plantilla.aspx?padre=3516

which says they are on the ``sixth shortwave band`` and also webcasting, but
any further details? Of course not! Are there any further links from this page,
such as to a webcast or a program schedule? No. It does show the person in
charge, LCC. Leticia Zavala Perez.

Despite the abysmally poorly-designed website, we are delighted that XEXQ is
reactivated on SW and hope it is back to stay this time. The signal seems
better than before, and the frequency is relatively clear much of the time.
Aoki shows hardly anything else on 6045 between 0630 and 1430 UT when India
starts.

It`s also of note that all three currently active Mexican SW stations are
cultural ones, playing lots of classical music. (Excluding XERTA 4810, reported
once recently but still not heard again here.), while zero US SW stations are
cultural, let alone non-commercial and would not be caught dead playing
classical. (One could hardly classify VOA as cultural these days.) Clear
evidence that the United States of Mexico are way ahead of the US of A (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

9599.29, Radio UNAM, Mexico City, 0755-0810, Nov 23,
classical music. ID at 0803. Good signal & in the clear. Also heard
at 1910. (B. Alexander, PA, USA - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

4857.53, Radio La Hora, 2358-0010, With a male in conversation with
a second male. They continue thru the hour, until 0004 when a third male
gives live ID and leads into canned ADs. At 0006 signal drops off without

5960, Radiostantsiya Tikhiy Okean, 0935-1000 With a opening ID by a male,
music is immediately presented. Following one tune, a male and female in
Russian Language comments. This format continues for a few munutes but seems
they had problems and went off the air by 0949. (Chuck Bolland, Clewiston, FL, USA, 20/11/2007)

6095, Voice of Russia, 1000-1100 Although I didn't hear the opening remarks, this
schedule of the Korean language broadcast is from 10 to 11 hours. With a female and male
in Korean comments and many cut aways for Russian comments. Noted a parallel
program on 5920 KHz. I want to mention that this freq is being relayed by a site
in Irkutsk, Siberia according to Passport, but the WRTH says it's St Petersburg.
The 5920 freq broadcast is suppose to be relayed by a site in Petropavlovsk
according to the WRTH but Passport says Irkutsk again. EiBi B07 says both
freqs are being relayed via Irkutsk, Siberia. So there's a number of choices. Both signals
were good. (Chuck Bolland, Clewiston, FL, USA, 20/11/2007)

6140, Voice of Russia, (PRES)1100-1200 Noted a program of Vietnamese Language(?) comments
and features by both a male and female. Whenever program went to reports, they were in Russian.
Interspersed were musical selections of Russian music. Not sure if language was Vietnamese, but
it sounded like it. Signal was fair. This may be relayed via Chita. All hard copy sources say
this should be scheduled between 1200 to 1300 UTC vice 1100 to 1200 UTC on this freq

Just like my previous log 2+ hours earlier on 6115, RRI, Nov 18 at
2356 closing English with e-mail address, IS, accompanied by its own roaringly
defective transmitter. I assume this will go away in a few months once RRI gets
all its new transmitters installed and operational, so enjoy it while you can

It`s so recognizable, the Tiganeshti transmitter which puts out as
much roaring noise as it does RRI modulation. Nov 20 at 1349, there it was on

Yes, checked the Jeddah 11855 channel at present at 1100 UT.
Tiny signal and audio under threshold as always, could only detect spoken
conversation -- reception of Jeddah was much better southerly when touring
in Spain !

Measured again 11854.90 kHz at 1100 UT. I guess also, that's Riyadh's 2nd
programm on registered channel.

That's seems to be the daytime frequency in B-07. Jeddah on A-07 in October
was always on 9675 kHz also on late mornings and noon.
But heard nothing on 9580 and 9675 kHz today, the usual Jeddah channels.

Nearby heard the BUZZY Riyadh 500 kW beast on 11935 this morning 1050 UT,
scheduled 0900-1200 UT. Noted FOUR carriers, when switched the E1 to SYNC
SSB mode, at x.20, x.10, x.00, and -x.90 kHz.

Strong Arabic signal on 9550, Nov 22 at 2013 I first
assumed was RHC until I found Cuba really opening their Arabic at 2029 on

really FEBA via Kigali, 30 degrees to the ME daily at 1900-2030 (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

I saw a recent logging of AFN on 7811 and I would like to add
my observation. I too have noticed and have become annoyed at AFN's
audio cutting out to dead silence every so often. However,
I have also found that not to be true on parallel transmissions on
5446.5 USB. I found the 7811 audio holds solid on hotter audio feeds,
with some programs having little to know audio silences. It
is as though some sort of audio squelch or input voice (VOX) signal
threshold is triggering audio on or off. Also, I found other
AFN frequencies also being cut off perhaps from a common audio
processing source. I have not tried to see if they all cut in and
out at the same time. But, 5446.5 does not follow that pattern and
holds steady on every program segment and AFN PSA.
(Pete Costello, New Jersey, USA - dxldyg 19/11/2007)

AFN, 7811-USB, Nov 22 at 2122 was still/again cutting out more than
in, during feature about Thanksgiving from census.gov, and still cutting out,
somewhat less, during Clark somebody`s talk show about VOIP. Isn`t anybody
responsible for this transmission paying attention? (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

WHRA, 7520, Nov 21 at 2219 had some weaker CW on 7519 needing no BFO
other than WHRA carrier. Cadence sounded like cut numbers, groups of 5, but did
not make sure of this. I did hear `AR` run together which I don`t think is part
of usual spy letters messages.

WHRA used to be on 11765 at the same time, but now it`s WHRI scheduled, Nov 21
at 2226, 315 degree azimuth close to usward, and huge signal accompanied by
noisy sidebands, especially during music. By tuning to 11760 or 11770 one hears
a continuous noise much like DRM, as if there were separate carriers; wonder
what it looks like on a scope. Later at 2253 some speech was little better,
since even during pauses there was background modulation keeping the sideband
hash going.

Checking WHRA, 11785, Thu Nov 22 at 1939, found that contrary to online
schedule, it is not in English, but some unID tonal African language! Another
clandestine broadcast? Maybe just missionary, as variations of ``kristian``
heard periodically, also mentions of Darfur. Tuned in at 1939 with YL talking;
1944 primitive and distorted music break; more talk, 1952 chanting with rustic
musical instruments. Did not catch anything resembling an ID until 1958 when
WHR announced in English QSY to 7520. The online schedule as of Nov 22 just
shows for M-F during this hour:

1908 Mo-Fr 0208 PM 0245 PM Music Lesea Productions 11785
1945 Mo-Fr 0245 PM 0300 PM Moments in Bible Prophecy Ray Shockley

So I am fairly sure it was neither of these; even if Shockley broadcasts in
unID African tonal language, it was already going before 1945. So what is
this?? Whatever it is, I suspect it is ruining reception of V. of Indonesia`s
French service in Europe during this hour, right? If they are still on 11784.9
instead of 15150v or 9526v (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

9265, Nov 22 at 2013 man speaking over PA about Yahweh; no ID, but am
101% certain this was WMLK as scheduled. The modulation level is no longer very
poor, but fair, and definitely not yet good. Off when rechecked sometime after
2100 (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

Таджикистан
7430 TAJIKISTAN. BBC (tentative), 1352-1402+, 11/23/07, listed Bengali/Hindi. M interviewing another M on the phone, then a more extended talk. Theme music at 1359 to

more upbeat F announcer at 1400. Tentative log, but nothing else listed on this freq at this time. Poor. (Mark Schiefelbein, MO, USA - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

Тайвань
6085, Radio Taiwan International, (pres)1010-1030 Noted a broadcast of
Mandarin comments from a male and female. Checked a few of the freqs where
this was suppose to be in parallel and believe both 9415 and 6150 were active.
9415 KHz seemed to be particularly simular. Since the signal on 6085 was
partly covered by WYFR, it was difficult to comfirm anything. At 1027, fanfare
or martial type music heard and this was on 9415 KHz also. (Chuck Bolland, Clewiston, FL, USA - 20/11/2007)

R. Taiwan International, 13695 // 11665, in French news
headlines, constantly interrupted by bits of music, as if giving the news
straight would be too boring! Both are via WYFR: 11665 is 44 degrees to Europe,
while 13695 is 355 degrees for Canada east of 90W plus Greenland. Not too many
broadcasts in French to Greenland, I expect. Thank you, RTI (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

Тайланд

11735 R. Tanzania Zanzibar 1700 time pips, then man talking but too weak to identify the language. At 1758 retune, upbeat traditional songs through 1800.00 with no

break. Mixture of music and talk in presumed Swahili, again through 1900.00 with no break. Phone interviews 1845, talk and music to 2000. Time pips, ID and presumed

news in Swahili. At 2050 retune, M alternating between Arabic and Swahili, s/off with NA 2057. Great music; no English news heard 18 - 21 UT.

11735, Radio Tanzania-Zanzibar, 1759-1809, Nov 23,

V. of Turkey, English to NAm on 5960 is not working too

1900-2000 on 6130 POR 250 kW / 130 deg to WeAs in English.

На средних волнах 963 кГц 19-20 UTC передача WYFR на английском.
(А. Дядищев, Украина - open_dx 22/11/2007)

I observed a different behaviour of the 6005 signal after 1000: Here
it was a little bit stronger than 5955 (Wertachtal) and much stronger
than 6190 (Berlin modest power). The fading patterns differed
noticeably from both.

Meanwhile it has been hinted in the already referenced discussion that
the whole thing was not properly authorized, resulting in all this
secretiveness. Fairytale gone bad, to put it with the name of a song
by the Finnish band Sunrise Avenue that has been played to death by
German AC stations.

Btw, the Family Radio tests via Pori are a no-show tonight here.
Around 1830 I found only an unresolvable jumble on 963 and a faint
carrier (too weak for me to get audio) on 6125. (Kai Ludwig, Germany - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

At 1910 mediumwave 963 with Family Radio via Pori
a nice signal here. Parallel 6130 via Pori real weak,
as usual for this skip zone. I guess 963 starts at 1900
so you were a bit early? (Jari Savolainen, Finland - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

The R. Prague 02 UC 5995 kHz broadcast is just about useless here due
to severe QRM from R. Habana Cuba on 6000. November 20, 2007 *0200 R.
Prague broadcast began with News and a report on 18 years since the
end of Communism. Unfortunately, around 0213 UT RHC QRM totally wiped
out R. Prague. Even without the RHC QRM, R. Prague's signal was only
fair to poor. (kg4lac - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

R. Prague, 7345, Nov 19 at 2327 giving complete
transmission schedule in English, arranged by target area, and followed at 2330
by English, while the 2300-2327 broadcast is scheduled in French. So maybe the
language of the 3-minute schedule summary between broadcasts matches the
transmission which follows rather than the one which precedes, despite the fact
that relays such as WRMI wind up broadcasting 3 minutes of irrelevant French
after 27 minutes of English. Then I checked 6000 at 2330 and found R. Praga in
Spanish via Sackville as usual colliding with RHC in Spanish (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

12025, VG signal in Arabic at 2143 Nov 22, but at 2144:30 cut
to RCI IS and IDs for a semiminute until 2145* This is one of those
multi-layered gospel huxter services, which HFCC classifies as HCJB via Merlin
via Sackville, 250 kW, 73 degrees to CIRAF 37 and 38NW, i.e. Iberia, Morocco,
Algeria, Tunisia, Libya. This confusing transmission is missing from Eibi, and
Aoki has A07 info as via Rampisham. It does switch sites depending on season,
so tnx to RCI for leaving no doubt about it currently.

Let us approach identifying this from HCJB. This page makes no mention of
Canada as one of the relay sites they use, but UK is mentioned:
http://www.hcjb.org/mass_media/radio/broadcast_sites.html

This schedule, besides being out of date and linked as ``international
shortwave`` does not mention any Arabic nor anything but Pifo site:
http://www.hcjb.org/docs/radio/HCJB_A07_Sched.pdf
No, you get nothing if you change A to B!

Where do you find a COMPLETE HCJB SW schedule including relay sites? Not from
them directly, it seems. Try searching the site on Arabic, and you get 53
articles going back a few years, but I just want to know what this 2100 UT
broadcast is. No, I am not going to go thru all 53 of them, but something looks
familiar at #50 from 8 April 2005, in part:

``HCJB World Radio reaches across North Africa, the Middle East and Europe with
Christian Arabic programming aired via shortwave, satellite and local stations.
The Radio Al Mahabba (Radio Love) Arabic satellite network airs programs
direct-to-home 24 hours a day.`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

WHRA was gone again from 15665, Monday Nov 19 at 1427,
so it must be a Sat/Sun thing only, and no longer QRMing DW`s new Amharic
frequency via Rwanda, 15660 --- and there was no jamming audible on it this
time either. DW`s other frequency, 15645 via Sri Lanka, did have noise jamming
on it and no DW audible at 1447. At first I thought 15660 might have some
co-channel audio again, but could not detect any at 1447 (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

Nov 21 check of jamming against DW Amharic: earlier in
the 1400 UT hour, just noise on 15645 and 15660, but at 1452 around 15645 there
were oscillating tones, and less so but detectable on 15660. Already at 1456
the jamming went off 15645. As usual, DW itself was audible only on 15660.

DW, 9690 via Kigali, 295 degrees, English to WAf, Nov 22, after news about
Uganda at 2016, at 2019-2023 interviewed the head of DW`s Amharic service,
Ludgar Sadowski (sp?) about the recently started Ethiopian jamming. Among the
points: it was first detected by DW`s in-house monitors on Nov 11 against the
service`s two frequencies [WTFK? 15640, 11645], and `yesterday` also against
the third [15660]; and there is also jamming against 3/5 of the VOA Amharic
frequencies. The jamming will ultimately backfire, but DW is not pointing
fingers at who is behind it; however, DW Intendant Bettermann has written to
the Ethiopian ambassador in Berlin asking him to look into it. There has been a
clampdown on press freedom in Ethiopia since the elexions of May 2005.

As usual, DW makes you go thru multiple steps until you finally find their
current English SW radio PROGRAM (as opposed to frequency or transmission)
schedule. Saving you the trouble, here it is:
http://www.dw-world.de/popups/popup_pdf/0,,2530152,00.pdf

Which however does NOT show the frequency I was listening to, 9690, but rather
ex-9735. It does show that the program was the 25-minute (short) version of
Newslink. I am looking for the audio file to reference. Back on the
audio-on-demand page, however, checked after 2300 UT, already replacing the
2005 edition, we get the 2105 UT edition of Newslink, which does NOT include
this story which should have started about :14 minutes into the file. Also, you
have to choose the real version if you want to be able to move immediately into
the file, not the mp3 or wm versions, altho the latter show the length of the
file and the embedded real player does not. What a mess and a waste of time

NHK Warido`s Sunday-morning classical music show is still
going, run across starting at 2305 UT Saturday Nov 17 on 11665, which is a
direct frequency, and on this occasion better than // 17605-Bonaire, which was
running about one second behind. Only other frequency on the B-07 schedule
which I looked up later, is 11910 to Asia, while 11665 is to SE Asia. Our cup
runneth over: CVC Chile also is doing their token classical music show during
the same hour on 15410, better reception than both of Japan`s frequencies, but
blasphemously, CVC audio kept cutting out during Hallelujah Chorus (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 19/11/2007)

Not jamming per se, but CRI just happens to have a Russian
broadcast on 5965 at the very same time that RCI Mandarin is relayed via
Yamata, 1500 UT. As noted Nov 20 at 1459, NHK multi-lingual IDs including
English, overridden by CRI ID in Chinese, IS, opening Russian, which is at 55
degrees to E Sibir. At 1514 one of them was playing El Condor Pasa, in either
case, incongruously (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

I recorded 1140 overnight. There was English religion mixing with two
Spanish stations and a Portuguese. Winrad clearly seperated each of
these. The Portuguese station seemed to be carrying sports talk. I
have a few snatches of this here though probably not enough to go on.
At times it peaked quite nicely out of the mess on the channel.

Yesterday (Nov. 23) evening (I tried at 2140 and at
2235 UTC) on 783 kHz mediumwave I've

heard a test tone. I guess this testing is from a new
transmitter for China R Intl in

Clervaux, Luxembourg 250 kW. SIO=343.

I immediately tried 1098 kHz (Clervaux, Luxembourg 120
kW) but nothing heard there... (Dragan Lekic, Subotica, Serbia - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

Neither frequency has been used by Lux before, so these are brand-new
transmitters, as planned and registered? (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

Right now (around 1730) I indeed have a continuous 1k tone mixing with
Wiederau on 783, loud enough that it must be considered as harmful
interference. The offending signal appears to come in from an
eastern/western direction, rather close to the bearing of Wiederau,
but this must be taken with some reservation since DFing within the
building here could be falsified.

Remember that the RTL coordinations for 279, 783 and 1098 stipulate
tight directional patterns which would require expensive antenna
systems. So what's going on here? (Kai Ludwig, Germany - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

No test tone noted here on 783 at 1800.
As Mauno says, Syria 1 kHz lower may sound like
a test tone. One can easily determine whether it's
Syria or a test simply by using LSB and USB.
(JAri Savolainen, Finland - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

A closer look reveals that there is indeed a signal on 782.0, as close
on the full kHz as it can be made out next to the carrier on 783
(without sophisticated equipment, of course). But no signal can be
detected on 784, although there should one be if a carrier on 783 gets
amplitude-modulated with 1 kHz.

So the Tartus (Syria) transmitter is no doubt the culprit if it is
already an established fact that they are 1 kHz off. But I find it
hard to believe that this is a carrier of 300 kW, the het is so loud
here that I would suspect this to be at least 1000 kW, considering the
distance of more than 2000 km. (Kai Ludwig, Germany - dxldyg 24/11/2007)

While working on my splatter killer I see the carrier of TRT 180 kHz each
evening. It is burried in the spectrum of 183 Europe1 and 177 DLR.
So my goal is to get their sidebands removed and recover at least a bit of
audio from TRT. So far it does not work. But the spectrum does not show any
sidebands of 180kHz. That is very strange.
I am wondering what audio does 180kHz carry, it must be very weak audio or
nothing at all, which would not make sense. Or is this something else, but the
carrier disappears always at 2305 so that fits the schedule. (Jurgen Bartels, Germany - mwdx 21/11/2007)

Well I am not closer to Turkey than you are but I can receive them
quite good here 500 kilometers north of Stockholm. Signal strength is
almost the same as 183 kHz, modulation is weak, but distorsionfree.
The 177 kHz signal is much stronger here. (Gert Nilsson, Sweden - mwdx 21/11/2007)

The band sounded in slightly better shape overnight after a few recent
dismal DX days.

1060 had a Spanish signal and an English sports station - both at fair
levels around 01:00.

I moved to 1140 after 01:00 in the hope of catching the Brazilian or the
other Spanish station I have heard there recently, but I only caught
WQBA in the end, which is becoming something of a regular. CBI was also
present but still weak. A possible ID from WRVA was heard on 1140 but it
was too weak for comfort.

Hoping for better things tonight.

Digital Radio

Dream
сразу же переходит на прием более сильного сигнала. На скриншоте водопада
это хорошо видно. Параметры для Голоса России стандартные - 17.46 kbps,
mono.

The 2300-2400 UT broadcast of R. Nacional de Venezuela,
Canal Internacional, via Cuba, is unlike most of the others supposed to be on
two frequencies, but Nov 17 at 2315 found it only on 15250, nothing on 13680;
but at 2352 recheck, both were on. You just can`t depend on the Cuban
transmitter engineers to be on time.

As expected, there is a big collision between RNV via Cuba and WEWN on Sundays
when both are on 11875 for an hour; as confirmed Nov 18 at 1408 when RNV was
way over WEWN; 11875 // 17750 but an echo apart from two different Cuban sites.
Commies vs Catholix! (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 19/11/2007)

RNV CI via Cuba, 13680, Nov 19 carrier was already on air
at 2255 with squealing the only `modulation`, worst when tuning to the edge of
the signal. 2317 recheck was in ``Contacto con los Diexistas`` mailbag, from
Japan, Cuba, then explained SINPO; and UTC as the same as ``Tiempo Civil`` or
``GTM`` as I`ve heard them do before, ending segment at 2320 with a gmail
address, I think just rnv@gmail.com? (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

11670 Radio Nacional de Venezuela, 22:07-22:15, escuchada el 15 de noviembre en espanol a locutor y locutora con boletin de noticias, cuna de ID “Radio Nacional de

Venezuela, Canal Internacional”, Reportaje “Capitalismo abajo”, SINPO 44333. (J. M. Romero, Burjasot, Spain - dxldyg 22/11/2007)

Западная Сахара
6300, no sign of LV de la RASD, Nov 18 at 2353 --- off
earlier, moved or silent again? (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 19/11/2007)

Since I didn`t hear R. Nacional de la RASD the day
before at all a few minutes before 2400, checked 6300 earlier Nov 19 at 2333
and it was there; tried to hear Spanish, but brain would not lock into Spanish
mode, and decided it must be Hassania, rather than Hassania-accented Spanish.
At 2401 recheck, however, definitely in Spanish ending ``Opinion`` commentary
saying that Spain should be part of the solution to the conflict. 0002
sign-off, anthem played by off-key band to 0003 Nov 20 and carrier stayed on a
while longer (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

Dear OM, I received test broadcast for North Korea on 9950 kHz from Nov. 13.

1200-1300 R Free North Korea (Nov. 13-14)
Open Radio for North Korea (Nov. 15-16)
R Free Chosun (Nov. 17-)
1300-1327 Open Radio for North Korea (Nov. 15-)
1400-1500 R Free North Korea (Nov. 15-16 and Nov. 18-)
1400-1420 VOR-Urdu, 1420-1500 VOR-Russian was mistransmitted Nov. 17.

It is estimated that the test broadcast is transmitted from the Russian Far
East area (Novosibirsk?).

At 1330-1400 are regular broadcast of R Free Chosun via Tainan [Taiwan] de S.
Aoki NDXC-HQ (S. Hasegawa, Nov 20, WORLD OF RADIO 1383, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

Novosibirsk isn`t very far east, only 83 degrees E long., west of Mongolia (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 21/11/2007)

4760 ELWA (Cumbre DX follow up) Following up on Scott and
Jari's observations, ELWA reports to Cumbre DX the following:

ELWA is testing their new 5 kilowatt shortwave transmitter which arrived in
country about two months ago. They are running it at 3 kilowatts into a new
antenna from the hours of 1730-2300 UTC (5:30 to 11 PM local.)

There will eventually be morning transmissions on 6070, but those have not
started yet.

Their former transmitter had broken down about a year ago, but is
repairable. (Hans Johnson, FL, USA - Cumbre DX 20/11/2007)

Star Radio, via Ascension, 9525, Nov 21 at 0703 with YL
reading news about Liberia; modulation was somewhat muffled, not what I would
expect from VTC/Merlin. Also weak het from 9526, but not really a problem,
presumably Indonesian carrier already on. The next morning, Brian Alexander
heard Radio Okapi instead of Star, quite a mixup? (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

CHINA 4950 V.O. Pujiang 1133 OC and came on for about a minute w/tlk by
W, then back to OC until 1157 when suddenly on w/pleasant instru. mx, 5+1
time ticks at ToH, then M and W w/voice-over ID anmnt, followed by several
canned anmnts. Excellent signal on very good Chinese opening this morning.
Others hrd on 5050, 5040, 4940, 4920, 4905, 4900, 4820, 4800 in the 60 mb.
4900 nearly on par w/4950 which was best. (24 Nov.)

NEPAL 5005 R. Nepal 1131-1200+ basically only a carrier noted here, but I
may have had bits of audio around 1137 and 1210. If they had their audio up
to 100%, I think it would've been quite readable given the strength this
morning. (24 Nov.)

CHINA 3990 Gannan PBS (pres.) 1212 Tlk by W anncr in CH or CH dialect.
Hrd under Hams of course. Too weak. Xinjiang is supposed to be here as
well but isn't sked to s/on until a little later. (24 Nov.)

CLANDESTINE 3985 Echo of Hope (pres.) 1214 obviously the stn here as it
was being jammed. Tlk by M and W in Asian lang. V.O. the People 3912 also
noted at the same time and also jammed w/the same type of buzzing jammer .

INDIA 4895 AIR Kurseong (pres.) Hrd throughout the 1155-1222+ period

BANGLADESH 7250 Bangladesh Betar 1227 big S-10 signal w/OC, then IS
plainly recognized at 1228 even though modulation was extremely weak. M
anncr at 1230 but couldn't copy. Could here subcont. mx at 1237 check. The
high freq of the flutes came though. (24 Nov.)

PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3905 R. New Ireland Best PNG at 1245 w/Reggae mx, 1248 W
anncr TC and song anmnt, then island song briefly and into couple Top 40 Pop
songs. Was just lucky enough to catch short s/off ID then instru. NA at
1301-1302* amid Hams which came on at 1259. Carrier stayed on to at least
1307 when I left the freq. (24 Nov.)

An unlisted Arabic station was heard yesterday, 20 November 2007, on 11965 kHz at 2039 UTC. It was still on at 2236 UTC. Arabic music, chat, and programme jingles,

but I didn't get an ID. No "event" at TOH at 2100, except for 2-3 tones mixed into the studio chat to mark the hour. SINPO 33322. Maybe an additional Voice of Africa

broadcast? Any ideas? (Eike Bierwirth, Mainz, Germany - hard-core-dx 21/11/2007)

As I type I'm listening to a similar broadcast of an Arab type station mixed up with at least one other station, language unknown on 11965 KHz @ 2126 UTC on November

21, 2007. I can hear Arab style music, male and female announcers, stations unknown so far but haven't checked any schedules yet. Severe fading with weak to strong

signals and a het which is understandable due to multiple stations. (Rich Brock, Pittsburg, PA, USA - hard-core-dx 23/11/2007)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6855.0 AM, 5-digit Spanish YL numbers on AM, Nov 22 at 2117,
S9+25, in the clear tnx to WYFR`s evacuation to 6875, which at the time was
only S9+20, in English. Recheck at 2137, 6855 still going with numbers, or
maybe repeat of previous transmission. She has a sing-songier style than some
of the other numbers broadcasts, such as:

12180, still no WWRB, but 5-digit Spanish YL spy numbers on AM, Nov 22 at 1936

UNIDENTIFIED. 11805, Nov 22 at 1958, carrier with a variety of different tones,
lo and hi, a few seconds each, thru hourtop until off at 2001:30 as splash from
RHC Portuguese 11800 was building up. Per online skeds, the likely source is
SENTECH Meyerton, following the scheduled 1900-1957 relay of RNW in English at
15 degrees, right? Would SENTECH do something like this? (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 23/11/2007)

11855.00 and 11854.94 odd.
Somebody may measure the 11855 channel at 1400 UT?

I hear two stations here in Germany, one is undoubtedly YFR in English, the
other seemingly Iranawila in Georgian acc Aoki list.

One station is odd approx. 60-70 Hz and produces nasty beat.

Just as I tuned in Firedrake on 7300, Nov 20 at 0700, it went off in
usual top of hour break for monitoring of Sound of Hope --- I could not hear
it; maybe FD did. Also had Chinese on 4900, Nov 20 at 1407 while I was getting
Indonesia elsewhere on band; presumably V. of Strait (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 20/11/2007)

Куба
DentroCuban Jamming Command, and R. Republica, were both on
6135 at 2355 check Nov 18, so presumably this starts at 2200; at 2409 recheck
they had all moved to 6155 and 6135 was clear for a het to be heard, probably
involving the off-frequency Bolivian.

Also checked 5955, Nov 18 at 2357 before Sackville 5960 came on, and definitely
occupied by DCJC grinding, but with BFO no trace now of a carrier on 5954.1, as
previously bringing us R. Republica from secret site. The RR signal was so weak
in the first place, that I expect the DCJC first heard about it from Arnie Coro
passing on DX news of it from us or other monitors. Sorry, but such are the
drawbacks of a free press. RR wants to broadcast as much as possible but will
not publish its own full schedule so people, let alone jammers, may not easily
find it (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 19/11/2007)

Эфиопия/Германия
Another check of the jamming vs DW situation Nov 18: at
1400, 15660 came on with DW theme, fair signal but under much stronger WHRA
15665`s Heart of Jesus. Could not detect any jamming under the circumstances
(Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 19/11/2007)

11645KIG like bubble, motorboat, pips, and whistle buoy howl jamming
15640IRA different crunch, rasp scratches, chirp noise on 15633-15647kHz
15660KIG Jamming Free (W. Bueschel, Germany - dxldyg 19/11/2007)

Nov 20 check for jamming against DW Amharic: at 1408,
15660 was audible with DW but also with continuous noise, same as on 15640
where nothing else was heard; nothing audible on 11645. DW`s Amharic service is
a bit strange; the news actualities leading to voice-overs all seem to be in
English, not German, and at 1410 the news was about Myanmar, not Ethiopia. 1412
ID as ``Yih Deutsche Welle Radio`` and theme. At 1415 I thought I detected some
other jamming modes under the noise on 15660 via Rwanda. By 1449 the noise
jamming was gaining here over DW.

As for Ethiopia also jamming VOA Amharic, BBC Monitoring says three of the five
frequencies at 1800-1900 are jammed, and also Oromo weekdays at 1730 on same

No no Sam ;-)

the idents are looking the same but the 6881.5 (5575, 6789, 6902.5 ...)
is a different net. Because nobody (?) knows the real "operator" we call
it "Arab Voice Net". You might often hear short (open) voice in Arabic,
often with roger-pieps after TO callings.
I just trying to do a "summary scan" for them, but it seems that each
evening new idents join that very large net
(I think I have records for around 100 different idents so far)

(Leif Dehio, Munich, Germany - udxf 19/11/2007)

here are some of ALF's (and my) no-ALE loggings from the last days.

Some questions (but see the open "unids" in the loggings too):

5270 kHz: Italian Navy callsign "FILONE" (with vessel IAEQ)

5708 kHz: French Navy callsign "GOLF LIMA" (with ARMOR)

6745 kHz: unid Polish Airforce Ground station (with PLF 117), sounded
not like "KRAKOW" (which was reported before)

Who is the FSK4 plyer on 6978.5, often on ? "Sounds like ALE", but only
4 channels...

The Italian Coast Guard stations NA1, NA2, NA3 (Nucleo Aerea) are found
in one older file as (complete) callsigns INA1, INA2, INA3 - correct?
But never saw any spot as INA_ ???

and here are ALF's ALE loggings from the last days.

Please see the "questions" just below the particular logging. ANY COMMENT ?

For me new nets and "new" open questions were:

5138.0 kHz, 5339 & 5416 kHz (all LSB)
with 2070 (to 2000), 3050, 3070, 3080 (to 3000)

5337.0 kHz with T2Z147 ("2-147 AVN")
Had here P2Z147 before. or/ T- prefixes?

6697.5 kHz with 70 & DL4

6720,0 kHz with 653391
(reported earlier: 650002, 650009, 650010, 653329)

6780.0 kHz with 1802

6918.0 kHz with 10DV (Iraqi Army 10th Division, Basrah)
This replace the "old" ALE-ident "10V"?
or two different players ?

6985.0 kHz with K and B

11147 kHz with 2011 To: 2211, 2212, 2216, 2412, 2413, 2414,
2415, 2416, 2417, 2418 2419, 2519, 2522
All these idents are seen on the "Moroccan Civil Protection Net" too,
but so far here no 11xx, 11xxx, 13xx, 13xxx idents reported...
So, maybe any member agency/sub net of the CP ??

200101 : Maybe this one is related to the (other) unid "Arab Voice Net"
(437xxx-idents), both seen on 6562 & 6864.5 kHz so far. ?!?
