Нужно внести несколько корректировок в почтовый шаблон для Lotus Domino Web Access.

В основном всякие мелочи, наподобе:

- В почте не выделяются папки, в которые пришли письма.
Надо сделать, что бы папка в которую пришла почта выделялась черным цветом и указывалось количество пришедших писем в папку. и т.д.

- Адреса пользователей не стандартизованы т.е. ИОФ.
Нужно привести адреса к единому стандарту ФИО

- и т.д.

Был бы рад, если бы кинули ссылку на книгу, как програмировать в этой хреновине, чтобы можно было эти мелочи реализовать в шаблоне самому.
Знаю, что книг море, поэтому и прошу указать конкретную, с помощью которой можно будет реализовать подобное.
1. Канал не рвется точно, т.к. там кроме Лотуса работают критичные приложения, для которых разрыв не остался бы незамеченным. К тому же я сам мониторю сеть сидя удаленно на маршрутизаторе в удаленном офисе. Меня бы тоже выкинуло. Но предположение...

Добрый вечер!
Сегодня столкнулся с непонятным для меня поведением лотуса при архивировании почтовой базы.
Но обо всем по порядку.
У человека есть архив почтовой БД (весит порядка 1,5 Гб), которую он таскает с собой аж с 2001 года (дизайн у БД был от 6.x.x нотеса, ODS 43). БД содержит тучу писем, рассортированных по сотням папок и структура папок очень важна для владельца. Недавно он поставил на свою машину клиента v8.5. Создал локальную реплику ПЯ и накатил на нее дизайн v8.5. Были некоторые траблы с русифицированным шаблоном, но их побороли. После этого он успешно пользовался почтой, а сегодня решил подключить к ПЯ архив, прописал путь и вручную попытался архивировать несколько документов. И тут нотес стал чудить - непонятным для меня образом на архив накатился дизайн с шаблона 8.х.х и вся структура папок слетела. Я сначала не поверил и, восстановив архив из бэкапа, лично убедился в этом. После этого запретил наследование дизайна в свойствах БД, а также запретил наследование дизайна на КАЖДЫЙ элемент дизайна - ноль внимания (что вроде логично, ведь на локале же делаем). А больше ничего путного в голову не пришло...
В общем, сегодня сделал копию с шаблона ПЯ v8.х.х и подключил ее как архив - человек временно согласился поработать так, но вопрос остался - как избежать обновления дизайна? Или эти процессы взаимосвязаны? (вот это будет для меня совсем непонятно). Или есть какая-то галочка, которую я не снял?

Народ есть 2 базы в Lotus. мне надо взять даные с одной базы и чтоб они отображались в другой. каким это образом можна сделать? как это всё прописать? Что для этого нужно? Зарание спасибо.

The apparent evilness of URL shorteners seems to be hot news at the moment. Some say they are the "herpes of the web", while others simply that they suck.

Although I can see the argument against them I am kind of indifferent to them. That said, I think they are useful when used in print. Long URLs just don't work in print media. The first time I saw one it used TinyURL.com and was in Personal Computer World magazine. Why people use them in the virtual world I'm not sure.

Anyway, the reason I mention them is because Microsoft sent me something in the post last week that made me laugh. See if you can see what in the shot below:

The bit that made me laugh wasn't the URL itself but the little note below it apologising for how long it is.

I can't imagine anybody in their right mind has typed the whole thing in to a browser and completed the survey. Surely!? After all, what's in it for us?

Maybe Microsoft didn't like the idea of using a third party service to provide a shortened URL, but then they're using surveymonkey.com for the survey so it can't be that. Lord knows what they were thinking pasting that URL!

Idea:

A possible solution to overcoming the problems associated with embedded views and not being able to sort the columns etc could be to set the selection criteria for the view at runtime - e.g. as a property of the embedded View object and not at the View level itself. This would take precedence over any selection criteria already set at the view level

This way, 'Show single Category' does not need to be used, and you are left with a standard view which can be sorted via column headers etc.

I appreciate that this causes an indexing issue at runtime, but I'm sure it is achievable.

It would mean that you could set a selection criteria such as ...

View Selection = {SELECT Form="Contacts" & ParentCompanyID = "} + CompanyID + {"} where CompanyID is a field at document level

Idea:
Allow Stationery for more than just e-mail templates.  Allow the same for calendar and maybe even ToDo.
 
My personal example for calendar is having a particular format I like to use for web meeting invitations.  I just need the description / body as a boilerplate, not the invitees, time, etc.

Idea:
Per default Lotus Notes create 4 location documents in the local names.nsf:

Home
Offline
Online
Travel

But the normal user need often only one ... the Online one.


Problem:
The user choose accidentally "offline" as location document and after that he has various problems with his client. Or he choose Travel and all outgoing emails are held in the local mail.box. In both cases he called the HelpDesk and complained about problems with Lotus Notes.

Idea:
Allow us to use a parameter in the setup.txt (See: "Applying scriptable setup" in the Admin Help DB ) where we can control which location documents will be created via first client start. I think this will solve a lot of problems which I see in various environments. Many from them have a modified mailfile where they delete all not needed location documents via lotus script during the mailfile open event (and re-create the needed ones). But I think such a option in the setup.txt is a better solution.

What I would like to see is something like:

create.profiledoc=Online
or
create.profiledoc=Online,Travel
 
As Options in the setup.txt. ...
 
Or maybe we can enlarge this option to some other options too...
 
SetMailserver.profiledoc.Online=server01/srv/acme
SetPassthruServer.profiledoc.Online=server01/srv/acme
SetSametimeServer.profiledoc.Online=server01/srv/acme
 
the settings above would "stamp" our online location document with the needed server names.
