Video edit of the biggest street comp in Holland this year. Edit by Mr. Remy Cadier of the infamous UH44 of Amsterdam.
Skaters: Sven Boekhorst, Edwin Wieringh, Antony Potier, Ward Gabriels, Adil Farhouni and more.
#3- The Food- Who cares about haute cuisine when you’ve got the bragging rights on two of America’s top delicacies: deep dish pizza and that 7-course meal-in-a-bun, the Chicago dog. … Don’t miss either one!
Also, a last note of advise; do not get pizza with hot peppers, capers, and anchovies the night before the race! I can personally attest to the fact that my stomach was fighting with it while the rest of my body was trying to tackle the Silverado Trail. Will stick to pasta for my carbos in the future, but all the pastas on the menus were heavy in sauce and then I had the bad idea to go for the wrong pizza. Oh well… I will not claim that to be the only reason I did not win the race, but it surely felt like the wrong diet.
This illustrates an important lesson. In the Olympics, athletes will take extraordinary steps to achieve maximum speed, sometimes sacrificing safety. This produces both heroic results of victory and dramatic crashes. Great sport, but dramatic crashes — when you are dealing with people’s health — are not an option — we must combine both speed and safety.
‘Going into the last turn of the final lap, Ohno and another skater were stride for stride. The crowd was on its feet. Suddenly, skates bumped, legs flared, and a domino collision left three skaters sprawled on the ice, each banging into the sideboards, just feet from the finish line‘- photo posted on Secretary Mike Leavitt’s Blog
We saw something very special last night Wouter Dropping a 9.40 opening 100 after Gregory done what looked like a winning 9.43 opener, but the Wouter took him right to the cleaners & every other “would be if they could be top dog” along the way, when he knocked another 3/10th of a second off him in the flying 200.
…
Its as if they believed they were superior, but ended up with nothing. The European countries need to better prepare themselves for Worlds by reducing the number to two, we saw last night the French women use the 3rd as a blocker, they go to the worlds without the extra 3rd person & encounter the Koreans, Colombians & Argentinians without the 3rd skater & they are found wanting.
Check out spdsk8n’s pictures from the USA Indoor Nationals- make sure you check out these pics when you have time because there are 2480 pictures in the album… and the pics start to be pretty good on page 20.

The weather did hold off today for the first day of racing, with the opening event of the day being the 300m time trials. The heats were on in the early afternoon without much of a lot of crowd there to support the skaters - but by the evening finals the seats were filled and everyone was out excited and expectant and holding their Countries' flags.No-one was really sure what would be the winning

After 9 years with the World in his wake, Gregory Duggento (ITA) sprints as the underdogDoes he have a different mindset post-Cali?
Wouter Hebbrecht (BEL)The World Champion frames the track with his hands in a picture of focus. He's done this before...
"I knew I needed to step on it to beat Duggento"Concentration as Hebbrecht looks to apex the fast Gera asphalt corner at the precise moment
