In the final kilometer, Kwinten took off for a long sprint to surprise his opponents, but was caught and directly passed by Maarten Swings (Orana team). But in the final meters Kwinten was able to pass Maarten again and could claim the victory.
…It was kinda fun being at the front of the pack but the whole time I was thinking “don’t fall, don’t fall, don’t fall”.
All in all, I have to say that I did enjoy myself last night in spite of all the challenges. Skating is never going to be easy and I am coming to realize that there are challenges for everyone, not just me. The key is finding out how to overcome those challenges….if you can.
- Do you think to continue in Zepto Team the next seasson?
For sure. I will skate for Zepto. This year they start to get some good results with me, and Reyon Kay at the WIC in Wolvega. The team manager Jorg Dietrich is one of the best people in the world of skating and I really like to work with him, so it’s a good relationship
Right now, I’m sitting in front of the television which is featuring excellent commentary and coverage of the Tour right. At this point, they’re hammering Riccardo Ricco’s positive EPO test and Saunier Duval’s withdrawl.
