Synaptris has opened a public beta for FewClix, an e-mail productivity add-on for Lotus Notes. FewClix allows users to customize their mailbox, quickly find messages, and use their e-mail network to extend their social network.
When someone reviews ideas on an ideajam they have three choices, promote, demote, and no opinion. I would like to suggest that "No Opinion" should be considered in every way to be just as valuable a vote cast as those that opt to promote or demote an idea. Everyone has their own interpretation but this will usually mean that it is not relevant to that person, they dont understand it, they see pluses and minuses. or they may simply think there are other ideas that are more deserving of attention. So when it comes time to assess the "value" of an idea and the contribution made (e.g. top innovators) I think we should count "No opinion" votes in the underlying scores. An idea that receives 50 no opinion votes means vo people have reviewed and voted on the idea where as an idea with none just may be new or something people arent bothering to read.
Instead of having to open Tools\Stationery, select the stationery you want to use, then New Message with Stationery, why not also make the "New Message with Stationery" action also available from the inbox?
When I am editing an XPage using the source code view (which is now probably 90% of the time) I would like to be able to drag/drop a control from the control palette instead of switching to the design view. This can often be a fstaer way than typing out the xp tags and remembering the default properties.
With 8.5x, Lotus added the ability to create, edit, and store your richt text signature in your mail preferences.
Next up: Allow us to set default font, size, color, and background for emails AND have different options for replies - some folks really really like to have the replies in discernably different color/font. Blue is a fav, for some reason.
Personally, I like Georgia, 11pt, black. It get's tiring have to either change every email, or change my template - and if I do that means I'm running an OFFICIALLY unsupported template.
I would like to see the ability to display data in a view (or document collection) in Xpages using a calendar style view similar to the one supported in the Notes client.
One of our engineers stopped by (a little frustrated) and asked if
there is a way to send messages only to invitees who have responded to the invitation in the positive (vs. all who responded as it is now). I asked around and others seem to agree.
I think it is really dangerous that it is possible to edit ideas after they have received votes.
For example I could come with the idea for free beer for everyone and after I received an enormous amount of votes I alter my idea to 'reserve the parking lot closest to the building entry for mr P. Kwinten' and I got all the votes from my collegues...
iNotes calendar is getting CLOSER to the client version but is still missing custom repeats. In order to deploy a full featured web calendar... custom repeats are necessary. Please add custom repeats :-)
