POWER TOOLS 6.0 IS A SET OF 90 ADMINISTRATIVE UTILITIES FOR LOTUS NOTES & DOMINO Power Tools simplifies management of the Notes/Domino environment by automating routine tasks. Power Tools can manage or monitor mail files, groups, ACLs, agents, LOG.NSF, templates and more.
There I was doing nothing too taxing in Domino Designer when up pops the following dialog.
Pressing OK entered me in to an infinite loop, so I had to close Notes from Task Manager, which brought up the Notes' crash manager. What I did then was exercise a little patience. Whereas normally I cancel the crash reporting tool, instead I took you advice from the other day and waited for it to finish. Sure enough there was then no further nagging dialog asking to show me messages until I restarted the PC.
Must remember to always wait for Notes crash reporting to always finish...
I understand some of the technical complexities with fixing the current implementation, but this is another one of those things that blows users' minds: When they choose View - Customzie this View and get their inbox the way the want it, they want & expect it to stay that way. Currently,it doesn't stick in many common situations - and there appear to be no plans to make this 'feature' work.

You see a folder with "(82)" unread messages, rather than open, press ctrl-A, mark all selected as read; just right click the folder icon and be done with it. Sure, not all folders and users will want this. For folders with mail rules and reports or server messages, just allows one to reset it and save a lot of time -- while keeping things tidy. Particularly useful when you have scores of folders.
Ever accidentally deleted a database? It can't be that hard to use the Recycle Bin on Windows Platforms instead of effecting an irriversible file system deletion.
This should occur at the API level so that all methods of deleting databases use the OS recycle bin if available.
Most of the iNotes ideas are split between Notes client, server, and designer, creating a bit of confusion for searching, as there lacks a proper place for it. Although server driven, iNotes is advertised and build as a client access permutation and is perhaps more intuitive in that IdeaSpace tree If not there, pick an IdeaSpace, but have it so we can keep it organized and vote properly.
When moving a message into a folder, like the Notes client, sometimes you want it in two folders. the Copy to folder, Move to Folder dance introduces the Notes client gripe of "too many clicks". Simplify the design, unless there is some technical limitation preventing this...it should be easy to fix and makes this client better and closer to the Notes experience.
