I loaded the Yahoo User Interface via WebDav, into a Domino Database. Works well, and you don't need to beg the Administrator to put the files on the server for you.

Всем привет! Есть вопрос по репликации в Domino Domain:
Решил поднять для изучения тестовый домен: установил 1-ый сервер (Lotus Domino 7.1), настроил домен. Ввел в домен следующий сервер. Документ Connection для настройки репликации еще не делал, но в консоли добавленного сервера каждые 15 мин. появляется сообщения:
starting replication with server X
finished replication with server X
Результатом настройки чего являются эти события?

Здравствуйте, только недавно начал заниматься Lotus'ом и вот сталкнулься с такой проблемой?
принесли в кабинет новый сканер? установил его поставил все драва? проверил работает и файнридер
его видит и всё нормально..но когда включаю лотус и захожу в сканирование on Server? и там кликаю
на кнопку сканировать он мне выдаёт сообщение об ошибке что(точно написать не могу сейчас нахожусь
далеко от работы) ну что та типа,нужное устройство не найдено...помогите если кто сталкивался
ссылкой на литературу по этому поводу или просто советом, и конечно если задаю глупый вопросы то извините )

после перезагрузки сервера вывалилась ошибка

Error full text indexing document NT00000000 in database Database is currently being indexed by another process
AMgr: Error executing agent 'Проверка приходящей почты’ ScheduledCheckMail' in 'otdel.nsf': Database is currently being indexed by another process

после этого при выполнении агента вываливается
AMgr: Error executing agent 'Проверка приходящей почты’ ScheduledCheckMail' in 'otdel.nsf': The full text index needs to be rebuilt

удалила индекс, все заработало, после этого попробовала создать индекс еще раз, опять стала выходить ошибка

заранее спасибо!

P.S. если вручную удалять индес с сервера из папки Lotus/Domino/... это нормально?
А лотус тут причем?
Пользователей нужно удалять через админ процесс, а не просто удалить документ пользователя в адресной книге.
1. Версия сервера и платформа. Версия старого сервера и нового совпадает?
2. Какую папку копировали? Лучше перед инсталляцией подложить папку Data и потом инсталлировать новый сервер, указав эту папку.
а в чём тогда проблема, вы хотя бы дали отправную точку куда нужно идти..а то вобще сообщения меня вообще ещё больше в тупик завели..

Удаление пользователей я осуществляю через Domino Administrator, во вкладке People & Groups, далее Delete person. Есть конечно и Manager во вкладке Groups, через который можно осуществить удаление пользователя, но 30 раз тыкать кнопицу Remove для 1...

Idea:
Opening Domino Designer is still a pain even in 8.5.1 if I have applications in the navigator pointing to servers I do not have access. this will cause domino designer to freeze or take forever to open.
 
I have to use kill notes every time.
 
I now have 2 applications in the navigator pointing to different customers,. no matter what ID I am using there is now an application in the navigator poingin to a server that I have no access to , so I can't open designer.

Idea:
In 8.5.1 we finally have Synchronize Contacts on the replicator page, therefore it would be logical that Synchronize Notebook / Journal be place there also thus avoiding the need for user to manually click menu Action - Lotus iNotes - Synchronize Notebook every time they wanted to synchronize.
 
If the option is put on replicator page at the very least it can run along with the client's replication schedule.

Idea:
I am not talking about local personal journal but the embedded journal that can be viewed on iNotes (I think those document is stored on $Journal view of the mail file). On iNotes there is an option to open another journal and be able to (at least) view those documents. On Notes client i haven't found an easy way to do this. Using menu View - Goto on the user who got the delegation it does not list $Journal view on the view / folder window. Perhaps because this view is not a public access view ?
 
I know that Notebook / Journal implementation on Notes client and iNotes is different but our end user does not care. They wanted both to behave the same way or else they got confused. I guess this would mean extending Notes Client mail file delegation to notebook in addition to existing delegation of mail, calendar and to do.
 
This and the synchronize notebook option have started to give me headache.

I am not sure why nobody have asked for this before but someone just asked me if Notes mail have a built in thesaurus function. After some searching around, I can only found two workaround for this.
 
1. Lotus Sandbox - Thesaurus (http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/sandbox.nsf/ecc552f1ab6e46e4852568a90055c4cd/266d1e091041593485256d17005a7369?OpenDocument)
This code requires that Microsoft word is installed on the same machine as the client since it accessed the Office Thesaurus functionality. It would not work without it and it might not work properly if someday Microsoft decided to change the way the implement thesaurus on Word.
 
2. Use Live Text to lookup to an online dictionary site.
This would be feasible for client's with direct Internet connection. CMIIW I don't think it will work if the client use an authenticated proxy to access Internet.
 
Perhaps someone have a better alternative than those two ?

Idea:
I would like to be able to set a default database in the book mark bar.  For example let's say I have a local replica of my helpdesk database.  I would like to be able to set on the bookmark bar so that it will always default to the one on the server.  If for some reason (either I am off line or the server is down) I click on the bookmark and it can't find the server it swithches me to my local replica.  The next time I click on the bookmark it will take me to the local replica.  I would like to be able to set a default so that the next time that I use that bookmark it will try the network copy again instead of using the last accessed database.  I think the mail database does this but not for other Notes applications.  I can be tied to the location document so that if you are working Offline it will know to switch you to your local replica.
