Second Announcement

International algebraic conference dedicated to the 70th birthday of Anatoly Yakovlev will take place in June 19-24, 2010, at St. Petersburg Department of the V.A.Steklov Institute of Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Science. The address: Fontanka, 27.
The Conference will be opened on the 19th of June at 10.00. The registration of participants will take place on the 1st floor of the institute from 9.00 to 10.00.

The Program includes 20 plenary talks and more than 140 section talks in 4 sections:
* Algebraic geometry, algebraic number theory and Galois theory
* Algebraic groups, representation theory and Lie algebras
* Homological algebra, ring theory
* Group theory

A. Benois, L. Bokut, A. Campillo, Yu. Drozd, I. Fesenko, J.-M. Fontaine, D. Gaitsgory, N. Karpenko, V. Kulikov, A. Merkurjev, L. Narvaez Macarro, A. Parshin, B. Plotkin, V. Popov, C. M. Ringel, A. Suslin, A. Zalesski, Yu. Zarhin, E. Zelmanov.

Plenary talk is supposed to be of 45 min. duration as well as head talks in sections. Most talks in sections will be restricted to 30 min. Participants for whom there might be not enough room in the schedule will be informed about necessity to prepare for poster section before May, 15.

The conference fee is 120 Euro. However, early payment (before June, 1) will make it 100 euro.
For students and PhD students it is reduced to 60 Euro and 50 Euro correspondingly.

Otherwise a conference fee may be paid at the registration desk on arrival.
It is not to be paid by plenary speakers.

The conference fee of Russian participants (working permanently in Russia) is covered partly by the RFBR.
So a fee for Russian participants is 1000 Rub. and it is reduced to 500 Rub. for students and PhD students.

Documents. We ask all participants who need official invitations or other documents of any sort, and who did not receive these documents yet, to inform us as soon as possible and to describe precisely the requirements to these documents.

Entertainment program. A boat trip can be organized along the rivers and canals of St. Petersburg. Specific trips will be organized depending on the number of those interested. Please inform us about your preferences.
