Epimorphisms of rings and categories

A school for young researchers. It will consist of a series of courses covering the recent developments on epimorphisms of rings and of small additive categories.

PLACE AND DATES OF THE EVENT
In Murcia (SPAIN), at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University. The courses will go on from the afternoon of September 23 until September 25, 2010.

HOW TO GET MURCIA BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
By plane: There are two international airports (Alicante and Murcia - San Javier) in an area less than 75 Km away from the city.
By train: There are several daily trains from/to Madrid and Barcelona. Check for timetable onhttp://www.renfe.es
By bus: There is a frequent bus service with all major cities in Spain. The main companies providing that service are Alsa (www.alsa.es) and Alsina Graells (www.alsinagraells.es).

BUS CONNECTIONS FROM LOCAL AIRPORTS
From Alicante airport: From 7.15 till 21.15 there is a direct bus to Murcia every two hours. The trip takes 50-60 minutes.
From Murcia - San Javier airport: Take a taxi to the stop of the bus to Murcia, in the nearby village of Santiago de la Ribera. The cost of the taxi should be under 6 euros. The bus stops there from 7.35 till 21.35 each hour. The trip takes 1 hour. Prices: The price of one-way ticket of either bus is around 5 euros.

ACCOMMODATION
The official hotel of the school will be the "Silken 7 Coronas" (http://www.hoteles-silken.com/hotel-siete-coronas-murcia/en/), a four stars hotel centrally situated. Any request concerning accommodation should be addressed to the travel agency of our campus (e-mail: umu@bcdtravel.es), indicating the title "Epimorphisms of rings and categories". They can also arrange the travel upon request.

ECONOMICAL SUPPORT FOR YOUNG RESEARCHERS
There are funds available to help the participating young researchers (under 35) with their local expenses. Since those funds are limited a selection might be required, the result of which would be communicated one month before the event.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Official lunch: After the final talk on Saturday, September 25, there will be a closing official lunch for the participants. The restaurant and price will be announced in subsequent announcements.

Simply send an e-mail to Manuel Saori'n (msaorinc@um.es) with your data (Complete name and institution address), indicating if you ask for funds. In this latter case, a copy of your passport (or Spanish DNI), in which your date of birth is readable, should be attached to the message.
