SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE
"INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RING AND MODULE THEORY"
AT HACETTEPE UNIVERSITY AT ANKARA, TURKEY,
AUGUST 18-22, 2008

Website: http://www.algebra2008.hacettepe.edu.tr

Please see the above website for the First Announcement and for detailed information including registration, fees, accomodation, transportation, etc. In this announcement we highlight and update several items.

1)    We have been able to extend the deadline for preliminary registration and abstract submission to June 1, 2008.

2)    We have had favorable responses from a number of publishers to publish our Conference Proceedings. We will make our decision on the publisher for our Proceedings and include it in the Final Announcement before the conference starts.

3)    The proceedings will contain a mix of peer reviewed survey/expository articles and research papers. The survey/expository articles will be by invitation and will provide an overview of various areas in or related to Ring and Module theory by some of our plenary speakers or other well known experts in Algebra. The research papers will contribute to the further development of areas in or related to Ring and Module theory and will be open to participants. The authors are strongly encouraged to provide ample details so as to make the articles and papers accessible to beginning researchers, advanced graduate students, and researchers in related areas. Also authors are encouraged to provide applications of their research to Algebra or other related areas such as Functional Analysis, Geometry, Topology, Combinatorics, Number Theory, Coding Theory, Cryptography, Physics, etc. Moreover, it is hoped that authors will submit Open Problems to stimulate further progress in Algebra. Papers related to Ring and Module theory from authors who are not able to participate in the Conference will be considered for inclusion in the Proceedings.

4)    The editorial board for the Conference Proceedings consists of : Toma Albu, Gary F. Birkenmeier, Ali Erdoðan, and Adnan Tercan.

5)    We have posters available upon request if you wish to help us to advertise the Conference.

6)    Again, we want to state that this conference is intended to be as inclusive as possible for Mathematicians working in the area of Rings and Modules. So please pass on this announcement to any colleagues who may be interested in this conference, but who not have received this or the First Announcement.
