above the noise 
level. First time all three stations heard at this QTH at the same time with
signal stengths of 
Alice Springs and Tennant Creek greater than during previous 1/30/05 log.

The local Belarus station at Brest using 6010 would seem to be putting out a
second harmonic on 12020. The signal was heard again today (March 22)
broadcasting 'reklama' (commercials) shortly before 0800 and then with an ID
for Belarus Radio on the hour. The signal on 12020 was peaking to fair
strength (with intermittent DRM splatter from an unknown transmission using
12025 on/off) while the fundamental 6010 was peaking fair to good. And even
the LW 279 was also just audible. All were in parallel.

Rampisham, UK with English report on what needs to be done for fair 
elections.  Very punchy audio.  Excellent modulation.  I wish all 
broadcasters would do the same.  Despite a S7 signal, it sounds far 
stronger.  They read a letter from America (this might also be the name of 
this segment of the program).  Transmitter cut at 17:59:30, and immediately 
started on 11995, with even stronger signals.  About an S9.  While on 
11995, the announcer mentioned that the frequency was about to change from 
11705 to 11995, and to retune! Nice IDs followed.  At 18:04, an interview 
in a local language began and is still ongoing at 18:10.

another ID at 0310. Language was possiblySomaly and signal was good but =

As  per Guy Atkins HOT DX tip, Djibuti is now on SW, 4780 kHz
   //  1539 MW, not // 1170 MW, heard 1945, Sunday March 2005 with a huge
   signal into central Somalia, SINPO: 5,5,4,4,4+, 100% copy on excellent
   audio.   What   I   heard was   a   long  commenatry  in  Afar on  the
   pending disarming  of  the 6 "WAR LORDS" holding Mogadishu and Somalia
   hostage, 6   divisions  of  crack  Sudanese,  Ugandesa  and  Ethiopian
   troops will  be in Mogadishu May 15. Then Om with Arabic greetings and
   closing  announcements  4780 off at 2003, 1539 off at 2006. Heard 4780
   this  AM,  0427  with  no  // MW. The languages in Djibuiti are French
   (offical), Afar, Arabic and Somali Thanks to Guy Atkins WA USA! 73.

Headlines news program. Abrupt sign-off, continuing on 11705; good.

11705, 1700-1759 March 20, sign-on with English program in progress from
11845, talk about Zimbabwe elections, Afro-pops, IDs. Fair-good but some weak
co-channel QRM.

11995, 1800-1859 March 20, English programming; Restart program about
improving conditions in Zimbabwe, local music program with Afro-pop, IDs, some

for R. Fox 48 which was supposedly on 6306 (nothing here).  2246 long rel. 
choral mx, 2249-2310 long rel. tlk by M in "American" EG.  Rel. mx at 2310, 
and pgm outro by M at 2311, but just couldn't copy the name.  Tlk by M 
ending w/Reflections Europe ID at 2313.  More rel. tlk and choral mx.  Ment 
of radio at 2324 and also "...the Bible everyday to Europe", and seemed to 
give an addr in Canada.  Later at 2341, gave an addr in MA and a Web URL, 
then obviously off at 2342:45.  Intermittent pulsing UTEs were 
horrible.  Also pretty decent amount of slop QRM from 6280 Israel.  Since 
the authorities asked them to close down a few years ago, I would presume 
this would be classified as more of a pirate.  (20 March)

11975, 2358-, Kamchatska Rybatskaya (fisherman's program) Mar 19 OC 
from tune in at 23:50.  I finally remembered to check on this fisherman's 
program from Kamchatka.  No IS.  Instead at 00:00:05 began with some drums 
and into ID for Kamchatka Rybatskaya. Then into a modern Russian female 
vocal and into news at 00:04.  Excellent S9 + 20.  Especially pleasant to 
listen on the R390A with SE3. 5-5-5 all the way.  News is local, not 
network Radio Rossii, or Mayak.  ILG shows beam directly at us, so couldn't 
be any stronger!  UTC Sundays only. Rather interesting program, including a 
psychological segment at 00:26 about the problems between men and women at 
sea, and if I caught the drift, the effects on children.  Nice ID at 00:30, 
and into another modern Russian popular song...just the type I would 
picture an average Russian listening to at a picnic by the 
seashore.  Mostly music during the second half, with a jingle 'Muzyka' 
between each selection.  Even a single American soul piece towards the end 
of the show.  One more Russian song, until 00:59:30.  Then a bit of a 
fanfare, and off without any announcement. OC cut at 01:00:45.

vigilancia, debido a varios robos que se cometieron alli ultimamente. El 
boletin local termina a las 2114: "Senores hasta aqui las noticias de Radio

CLANDESTINE TO SOMALIA Radio Horyaal heard on 12140 March 22nd, tones 
already at 1720 tune in. It opened at 1730 with a tune familiar to UK
Channel 4 viewers, it is used on the quiz Countdown as background whilst two
constestants try to get as many words as possible from a selection of
letters. Details of schedule and website followed, short Qu'ran chant and
then talks in presumed Somali and music. Ended 1758 without apparent
announcement. Voice of Russia came on at 1800, I did not notice a

14 марта принимал тестовую трансляцию из Швеции на частоте 5875 кГц с 
18.30 до 19 UTC. CDA только 6.9% из-за того, что передача была 
предназначена для центральной Европы. Сразу же после этой передачи 
переключился на 11925 кГц и, наконец-то, обнаружил там впервые в этом 
зимнем сезоне ВВС на русском языке. Параметры сигнала изменились, ВВС 
на этой частоте вещает в режиме UEP (20.3%)/ID:13398, 20.14 kbps, 
mono. Не изменилась только идентификация, по-прежнему, уже второй 
сезон подряд они продолжают указывать, что передача идет на 
английском языке. ВВС на этой частоте как и в прошлом году появилась 
к окончанию зимнего сезона, наверное, атмосферные процессы в 
ионосфере уже начинают меняться, и диапазон 25 метров к этому времени 
еще не закрывается, или же они просто работают на этой частоте 
нерегулярно. Интересно было сравнить свои результаты с наблюдениями 
коллеги из Стокгольма на форуме DRM SR - очень похожие получились. 
Начиная с 19.30 прохождение заметно ухудшилось, это я наблюдал и в 
четверг, когда уже после 19.35 сигнала не было совсем.
Вышла новая версия программы Dream 2.1, похоже, что не только один я 
заметил, что пропадает аудиосигнал при переключении на сервисы 
передачи данных. В последней версии этот недостаток устранен.
Немецкая волна продолжает трансляцию прграмм с тремя сервисами, 20 
марта принимал эти программы на частотах 17700 и 17710 кГц. Вторая 
программа - сервис новостей  сегодня транслировала помимо последних 
известий частотное и тематическое расписание программ, а также 
информацию об истории радио и телевидения Немецкой волны - DW-RADIO, 
DW-TV, DW-WORLD. Частотное расписание транслировалось такое:

- dominating over usual Spain-Canaries: Romanian talk (that sounded 
somewhat like Portuguese with a bit of Slovenian mixed in) and many pop 
instrumentals and vocals including "Fields of Gold" by Sting.  Not much 
1180 slop.  It took a while to figure this out, but eventually finding 
it and an 855 parallel on a German DXTuners receiver solved it.  
Interestingly the Waterford, Ireland DXTuner hardly had a trace of 
this: SER Spain dominated 1179 and RNE Spain topped 855 (as they

& Sunday.  As of next week we will add 15,725 on Saturdays only from 
0900-1600 UTC (that freq may be better for DX reception in the USA).  We 
also use 5,775 kHz in the evenings European time from 2000-2130 UTC with 20 
kW Carrier Controlled Modulation (and until 2300 UTC with 100 kW CCM on

какого-то храма. Написано, что я принимал кашмирскую программу. И это 
действительно так, потому что рапорт я писал на прием Radio Azad Kashmire,
