Словарь построен по обратному принципу - не слово->концепт, а по принципу концепт->слово. Т.е. не по принципу "вижу слово - а что оно означает?", а наоборот "хочу сказать, но не знаю как?". Рекламируется как "первый в мире словарь для речи". Построен он суперинтересно. Все слова в словаре идут по алфавиту. Из них, т.е. из всего английского языка, выделено 1052 "ключевых" слова-концепта. Их гнезда разделены по смыслу на группы, и для каждой группы - дефиниция, при которой несколько способов выразить это по-английски (не только одним словом, но и выражением, и идиомой и т.п.) + 5-6 живых примеров на каждый. От всех остальных слов идут "отпасовки" на одно из 1052 "ключевых" слова-концепта. Для того чтобы найти нужный концепт, достаточно воспользоваться карманным русско-английским словарем и найти в нем ближайшее по смыслу слово. Дальше вы просто следуете словарю, и очень скоро узнаете, как красиво и натурально выразить свою мысль на хорошем английском языке. Вдобавок, словарь заменяет словарь синонимов (т.к. каждая смысловая группа - это и есть синонимы, но не только отдельные слова, а и выражения тоже). Есть еще Essential Activator, в нем количество ключевых слов сокращено до 750, и к словарю прилагается тетрадка с упражнениями. Словарь составлен после 5-летнего тщательного компьютерного анализа гигантских баз данных (Longman Corpus Network) с текстами книг, газет и т.п. (так на обложке написано). Купил я его в Библиоглобусе. Адрес: Москва, Мясницкая 6, это метро Лубянка, в переходе есть указатель "К магазину Библио-глобус". В принципе можно поискать и в любом другом большом книжном, где продают словари зарубежных издательств. Например, в "Доме Книги" на Арбате. К словарю прилагаются два сидирома с полным текстом словаря, полным текстом знаменитого Longman English Activator, 88 тысяч озвученных предложений, около миллиона примеров словоупотребления, упражнения к экзаменам, цена очень приемлимая, я купил в магазине "Москва" за 660 рублей
