I hate it when market analysts compare Notes and Domino to SharePoint, especially when it's clear they've got an agenda. Sometimes, I think they're more market anal-ists than analysts.
In this case, we're looking at an article called "The Difference between SharePoint and Lotus Notes" over on CMS Watch ("Get the real story"). I hate picking on these guys because somewhere on their site, I'm quoted as recommending one of their products -- but not this one.
If you like the "Notes in 9" videos, David Leedy says there are some changes coming. Things like longer shows, availability on iTunes, and an affiliation with Spiked Studio Productions promise to make the new year better.
The option to display an action button as a menu separator has only effect for sub-actions.
I find it hard to make it clear that certain actionbuttons can be considered as grouped. A horizontal menu separator could make this more clear.
like in:
Close Publish Withdraw | Set Fontstyle Attach File Append Link | Task\Create a Task
the first set of actions handle the document status, the second group have to do with the content on the document and the last group is related to relating other type of documents to the current document.
Recent Contacts will contain the addresses of people who have left the company. This can result in users sending email to contacts who no longer exist. Whilst they will receive a delivery failure a more efficient solution would be to periodically prune Recent Contacts of people who are no longer in the directories used for corporate lookups.

We use the Advanced Search export (specifically Excel) to do a lot of our reporting out of IdeaJam. It would be very helpful if the idea Status was a column in the export. Currently, if I need all ideas with their statuses I have to run 4 reports, make my own column then merge them.
Many time when using the Advanced Search Export we are just looking for ideas. It would be nice if there was an option to exclude comments from the export instead of having to go in and delete them every time.

I read some ideas about syncing contacts between differnt sources (PNAB, recent contacts, ...). This made me sharing mine:
I'd like to sync entries in the PNAB with the ones in the domino directory. the contacts may be marked when copied into pnab (there is an action for this).
Sync may be bidirectional (local changes reflected in DomDir), but has to be restricted by a role or sth. simmilar
local changes may be protected (personal annotations, ...) form syncing/overwriting
Recent contacts may be updated too
When thinking about such a syncing mechanism, I'd like to enhance this idea by syncing to different adressbooks (web service, f.e. google).
Similarly to the Sametime
name XPage control we've published
two more controls to OpenNTF - inline Connections business card and pop
up business card. Here
is the entry in the Apache catalog, here
the project and here
the documentation. You can ...

The backbone of Alloy™ by IBM® and SAP® architecture is Web services communication between trusted parties, namely IBM and SAP. Both asynchronous and synchronous communication between IBM and SAP is through the Web services database NDERPws.nsf. This article explains the role of this database and how to use it from both an administrator and a user perspective, and how to troubleshoot some common issues.
