при редактировании через Manage Directory ACL выдает такое сообщение: You cannot apply an ACL to the root data folder. Select a folder uder the root folder. Как исправить ето можно ??
регистрируешь пользователей в names.nsf посредством domino administrator, там же группы создашь для пользователей, в лотусе на БД выставишь права через ACL ну и все будет работать.
Я даже не знаю, что и написать кроме перевода
Вы не можете применять ACL к корневой папке данных. Выберите папку над корневой папке.
Т.е. у Вас на неё нет прав.
Добавить пользователя, а лучше создать группу, в базы SТ, (stconfig.nsf и д.р.).

Это понятно, но на папки, которые внутри С:\program files\lotus\domino\data есть доступ, как можно просмотреть права админитратора на папки ?
Никак не могу обозвать одним словом к какому классу можно отнести Quickr... Это CMS,СЭД или вики система..
Больше интересует можно ли назвать это разновдностью СЭД????

Сколько бы злые модераторы не удаляли, а задать ACL Manager'a через reg.MailACLManager = uSession.UserName не удастся. К сожалению, по крайней мере в Lotus Notes версии 7.3 и ниже.

Нужен Workaround, коих к лотусу, походу, нужно много.

Workaround, заключается в том, чтобы задать Manager'а в шаблоне базы данных, имя которого задаётся вот здесь:
reg.MailTemplateName = "mail7.ntf"
При этом, имена пользователей, и групп, которые должны назначаться создаваемой по шаблону базе данных
берутся в квадратные скобочки. Например, если мы хотим чтобы пользователь Vasya имел доступ уровня manager
к создаваемой базе данных, в шаблон нам придётся добавить запись с именем [Vasya]. Т.е. имя ACL entry берётся в квадратные скобочки.

Ситуация такая: из Адресной книги был удалена запись пользователя. Как восстановить? id осталась на компе пользователя, была восстановлена запись "ручками" о пользователе, но сертификат не понятно возможно ли восстановить? шифрование не работает из-за этого
или просто по новому регистрировать пользователя через админку?

Помогите, пожалуйста, решить такую задачу
Описываю:
На машине установлен Сервер Domino 8.0 (в папке Domino)и клиент Lotus Notes 8.5(в папке Notes). Хочется создать из этих папок два самораспаковывающихся архива, которые бы при их распаковки на другом компьютере установили клиент и сервер со всеми настройками, пользователями, паролями и т.д., которые были на первой машине.
Для этого я сделал следующее:
я скачал 7zip. Создал с помощью этой программки два .exe-архива из папок Domino (сервер) и notes (клиент).
Скачал архивы на флэшку...распаковал на другом компьютере....
В результате сервер запускается только если на машине уже был установлен перед этим другой Domino-сервер (а так выдает ошибку "An error occurred during license use management initialization. Ensure that you are running Domino with a valid license file".), а клиент Lotus вроде запускаетя, но не имеет ряд настроек, в том числе кнопки "Open" (которая появилась с 8 версии).
Скажите, пожалуйста, как правильно заархивировать папки Domino и Notes, чтобы корректно решить задачу?
Может быть есть ссылки, которые можно почитать?

Вопрос о доступе к базам данных в C:\program files\lotus\domino\data остался открытым, помогите плз, начальство душит :)
При отправке на mail.ru выдает такое сообщение в консоли: Router: Error transferring message 00293F9B via SMTP to mxs.MAIL.RU 550 Unroutable address

Like so many problems, it started with a new computer. It didn't like my old operating system. Rather than fight to install the old operating system, I upgraded to OpenSuse 10.3. Notes is at 8.5-ish and OpenSuse's at 11.1, but I installed what I had sitting around. Life is like that, sometimes. You use what you got.

"So I counted to ten, went to Starbucks, and started over."

The Notes 8 installation went smoothly, lulling me into thinking everything was fine. I started up the client, answered the configuration questions, and watched it open. Then, instead of seeing a Getting Started page with information on Notes, I saw an ugly grey box, like the one in Figure A, with the message "org.eclipse.swt.browser.Browser: No more handles [Unknown Mozilla path (MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME not set)]".

Since OpenSuse 10.3 wasn't on IBM's list of supported operating systems (they support the enterprise edition, but not the community variant) I couldn't just ask for help. There were several items on Notes.net referencing MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME. But, for every fix posted, at least one person had replied to say it didn't work for them. I didn't have any better luck. So I kept looking.

Remember a while back I mentioned some of the couples on our street were doing a Come Dine With Thy Neighbour? Well this weekend saw round 2 at #5 for Rob's turn.

It was surprisingly good - better even than Pete's in round 1. The surprise being that Pete is Mr Competitive while Rob is Mr Laid-Back.

The menu (hand-delivered the night before on a ribbon-tied scroll) was very impressive -- calprese with oven-dried prosciutto on top for starters, pan-fried sea bass for main (complete with hand-made salsa verde)  and then chocolate torte to finish. The presentation was better than Pete's and almost of restaurant standard. In fact the food was as good, if not better, than some of the food I've had in the better of Nottingham's restaurants lately.

After dinner entertainment was a good old fashioned game of Charades. The names of films, songs etc to be guessed were provided by Rob's mother-in-law and the twist was that it was boys-v-girls. Somehow the girls won. Although we really should have had an extra point for managing to get Tiswas. First syllable ... sounds like ...

All in all it was a better night than Pete's and I'm going to give Rob an 8 - one more than Pete. Although the food was  Just because Charades was more fun (and more socially interactive) than 2 hours on Guitar Hero.

Needless to say I am now bricking it. Well, Karen is. She's worried we're going to be the laughing stock of the street and has even offered to make the lot and have me pretend I did. Not that I'd do that. Cheating just isn't in my nature. I'd rather serve slop than cheat.

We've devised a menu and plan for the night anyway. If it works out I think there's still a chance we might just win. More on that closer to the date, which is yet to be confirmed, but hopefully at least a month away.

If any of you like the sound of this then it's worth doing. Even if you don't know your neighbours, maybe it's a good chance to get to know them. Put invites through the doors and see if enough couples are up for it perhaps.

If I had the time I think it would be good to make a website to help organise dates, record menus and (anonymously) rate each night and rank the contestants. Maybe one day...

It would be great if there was a way to sync the Domino HTML folders amongst clustered servers.
 
Quite often you have small HTML files kicking around in this folder, like favicon, robots.txt, a bunch of quickr/sametime plugins, CABs and jars - and it can be a nuisance to keep these in sync.
 
Under a Windows platform one can use Active Directory folder replication, but this doesn't help once you hit a Linux or other non-Windows platform, especially if you have mixed platforms.
 
Yes, a bunch of cron jobs, sFTP sessions etc could do it, but it would be better to have as part of the Domino server. Since the Domino server can now handle files in the filesystem with DAOS, why not make /domino/html part of the same set, but belonging to the server's HTTP engine and exposed for clustering?
