The Battle is Back BattleUK III in Nottingham
2008-09-26 15:49
BattleUK returns again on Saturday October 11, 2008. The venue for the event will be the Victoria Leisure Centre in Nottingham, the same site that was used for BattleUK II...
In a few minutes, Morgane, my mother, and I are leaving for New York City for the New York 100k. The event is truly one of my favourite events of all time, despite this last year: My Thoughts During The New York 100k. There’s something about the 100k that I just love- actually, it’s everything about it; the city, the distance, the racers, the atmosphere, the asphalt, the organizers, the pain, the challenge…
I may or may not update SSW this weekend with all the juicy goodies & results from the Berlin World Inline Cup. If I don’t get to SSW this weekend, see you sometime next week

Coach Begg says you need to listen to your body when competing in two events in a row.
Ultra Marathon Survival Guide

More gels, more friends and more smarts are a few of the things you need to survive ultras like the New York 100K and a2a.
Hmm, storm surge seem like a good wheel selection. I’m glad I brought some with me! Thanks Diederek Hol for selling the wheels to me right before the marathon at the World Championships while we were being called to the line
World Roller Speed Skating Championships, Gijon, Spain- Lots of MPC Storm Surge wheels in the senior men’s marathon- I suppose a few skaters will be using them in the New York 100k tomorrow if it rains
I don’t think there is anything more stressful than getting lost during a race. You can ask my friend Ed Leung, who once got lost in the back country of Georgia. (Imagine an Asian man dressed in a tight spider-man skin suit trotting around the back-roads on skates. As far as I’m concerned, that’s asking for trouble!)
