Система компьютерной алгебры GAP: Hybrid Methodologies for Symbolic-Numeric Computation

Second Announcement

SIAM/MSRI Workshop on
Hybrid Methodologies for Symbolic-Numeric Computation

November 17-19, 2010
Mathematical Sciences Research Institute, Berkeley, California
http://www.scg.uwaterloo.ca/siam-msri-hybrid

The topic, hybrid methods, plays an ever increasing role in technical
computation. We nowadays see a proliferation both of numeric algorithms
that use symbolic methods, and primarily symbolic algorithms that use
numeric methods. Our hope is to bring together practitioners from both
realms, to increase interactions in this exciting area.
