It is prohibited to open exchange offices to credit institutions

the Direction of the Bank of Russia N 2423-U of April 2, 2010
(document is in Russian), it is established that credit institutions
and their branches have no right to open exchange offices. At
that, exchange offices opened before putting into effect of
this
Direction, must to be transferred to status of other internal
structure subdivisions (except mobile post of cash operations)
or closured not later than October 1, 2010. The
Direction establishes the procedure for such transferring
(closure). Besides, it is established that not later than October
1, 2010, activity of structure subdivisions, to which it is
delegated the right to make operations with foreign currency,
should to be brought into accordance with clause 9.3 of the
Instruction of the Bank of Russia N 135-I.
The
Direction has been registered in the Ministry of Justice
of the Russian Federation N 16964 of April 22, 2010 and shall
putt into effect upon expiration of 10 days after the day of
its official publication in the "News Bulletin of the Bank
of Russia".
