Hospitality Management – Minnesota, USA

   

Start Date(s): TBD

Hours: 35-40 hours/week

Location: Minnesota, USA

Training Duration: 12 months

Compensation: 8.00/hour

Host Company Description:

 

U.S. resort seeks full-time Hospitality intern/trainee. This program will expose the participant to facets of the hospitality industry that are unique to the U.S. During this program, the participant will have the opportunity to rotate through various departments within the resort, providing them with an overall understanding and foundation of the industry.

 

Applicant Qualifications:

∙ To apply for this internship program, you must be a hospitality management undergraduate/graduate student (maximum duration – 12 months)

∙ To apply for this trainee program, you must hold a hospitality management degree and has least 1 year of work experience in a related field, OR be a career professional of 5 or more years of experience (maximum duration – 12 months)

∙ Fluency in English

∙ Minimum of 22 years old

∙ Previous experience working in a hotel and/or resort

∙ Willing to advance the current skills and knowledge by learning American business traits

 

Training/Internship Program Details:

∙ Learn how to process guest check-in/check-out in a timely, friendly, accurate, and efficient manner. Participant will learn how to complete online reservations and assist the Front Desk Manager with auditing.

∙ Opportunity to observe the Front Desk Manager in hiring procedures.

∙ Learn how to conduct Cost Analysis, quality controls, and purchasing processes/procedures. Participant will become familiar with merchandising/marketing strategies.

∙ Learn the proper set up of facilities for various functions. You will shadow Group Sales Manager through an entire event from booking, planning, event, and follow up.
