Check out what Nicole Begg shares about the Wednesday night racing at the Mittwoch-Cup in Switerland; Weinfelden’s Wednesday Night World Championship’s. About the quality of the field, she writes ‘Among the skaters racing last night there were about twelve senior World medalists and five junior…‘.
Speed Skating World Online Magazine is reporting that ‘Jeremy Wotherspoon has been awarded the skating Oscar for the 2007-2008 season, for his “extraordinary dominance” on the 500 m…‘ [More]
Here’s an interesting article about mould at the Olympic Oval in Richmond, BC. They write ‘…In spite of this, the city said that the oval construction project remains on schedule (and even on budget). The main roof structure is complete and work is now focusing on the completion of the oval’s exterior and interior finishing and landscaping‘.
Aaron Arndt wrote about last Wednesday’s Mittwoch-Cup. He also wrote about getting new boots & the relationship/ feedback cycle between the bootmaker and the skaters, and he has a bunch of messages for people back home- here in Toronto/Brampton/ Mississauga.
From Team Rollerblade; ‘Nicolas Iten was filmed last Saturday by local TV (SF TV) in Zug‘. You should be able to find the video here on the left side- just scroll down to find ‘Inlineskating: Weltcup in Zug‘- and there is an amazing shot from the back of a motorbike of the men’s final sprint- and it looks like they’re going a billion km’s/ hour.
