You see a lot of people on rollerblades in Paris. Apparently people took it up about 10 years ago during a long transport strike and it stuck.
Same thing is now happening with bikes. There is a new public bike rental system and you see them everywhere. People have started buying their own bikes also.
Paris is a small city with plenty of public transport options - and now bikes and rollerblades - so hopefully the motorcar will get edged out more and more.

Powerslide Alessi in Paderno

During the last weekend the Spring Trophy was held in Paderno D’Adda in northern Italy. Even the temperature was very cold all the races have been started during those 3 days.
Part of the Alessi Powerslide Athlets raced in Paderno together with other 400 athlets.
PS Athlets dominated between the seniores men: Fabio won the 1000m, 1500m, points and elimination race. Steve was always second excluding the points race were he was 7th. Steve won the 10.000m race and Fabio was 2nd. Matteo from Alessi PS National was 3rd in the elimination race. Fabio won the overall ranking and Steve became second. Great success for the team to start the season.
Cinzia from the World Team and Ramona from the National raced between the women. Cinzia was second in the overall and took some 2nd and 3rd places, Ramona took some places between 5th and 7th.

First day of Powerslide Phuzion Team Camp

Right after 3 Pistes competition the members of the Powerslide Phuzion World Team went to Nantes for their training camp. Their first day began with sunny weather and an easy session on the 200m track, the home base of skaters like Arnaud Gicquel, Frank Cardin, Yann Guyader, Pascal Briand, Thomas Boucher, and so on.

Eric Gee Skates- known as EGC Skates- has a new prototype program- check it out; EGC Prototype Program Unveiled. Eric writes about boot making. explains the prototype program, and talks about training.
On the prototype program, he says ‘There will be two programs offered on a first come, first served basis. The Inline program starts in April and the Short Track program begins in July‘.

Since arriving in Minnesota, the 26-year-old has raised the bar for outdoor racers in the Midwest.
