WELCOME

The Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics
of the
Russian Academy of Sciences, State University and State Technical
Universities
(Novosibirsk) are jointly organizing the Tenth International
Conference on
Parallel Computing Technologies (PaCT-2009). The conference will be
held in
Novosibirsk, August 31 . September 4, 2009. Nine previous conferences
have
been held in Novosibirsk (1991), Obninsk (1993), St.-Petersburg (1995,
LNCS
Vol.964), Yaroslavl (1997, LNCS Vol. 1277), Pushkino (1999, LNCS Vol.
1662),
Novosibirsk (2001, LNCS Vol.2127), Nizhniy Novgorod (2003, LNCS Vol.
2763),
Krasnoyarsk (2005, LNCS Vol. 3606) and Pereslavl-Zalessky (2007, LNCS
Vol.
4671).

The aim of the PaCT-2009 is to give an overview of new developments,
applications, and trends in parallel computing technologies. We
sincerely hope
that the conference will help our community to deepen understanding of
parallel computing technologies by providing a forum for an exchange
of views
between scientists and specialists from over the world.
We welcome your active participation.

* Software for GRID computing
* Software Transactional Memory


CALL FOR PAPERS

Original papers are solicited for the conference. A full paper (up to 15
pages) or an extended abstract (5.7 pages) should be submitted by
January 20,
2009. Please bear in mind that it is more difficult for the Program
Committee
to decide about your work having just an abstract in hand. All
contributions
will be internationally reviewed. Authors will be notified of
acceptance by
March 15, 2009. We will require camera-ready full papers by May 20,
2009.

In order to submit a paper or just indicate your interest in the
PaCT-2009,
please register at the site of the conference
http://ssd.sscc.ru/conference/pact2009 and follow the instructions
which you
will find there. If you face any difficulties using this site, please
contact
the Secretary (pact2009@ssd.sscc.ru). Only electronic submission of
manuscripts is accepted.

The first page should include (but not be limited to)
the following information: a title, authors. full names, affiliation,
addresses, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses. To gain the
better
understanding of your abstract, we also request that it includes the
following
information: short review of related papers, formulation of the problem,
objectives, description of results, main ideas, and list of references.

The organizers expect that the authors of selected papers will present
their
work at the Conference.


TECHNICAL DETAILS

The manuscripts should be prepared in the style of Springer Verlag
LNCS series
(Microsoft Word, LaTex or PostScript). Please see

PROCEEDINGS

The Conference Proceedings is planned to be published as the volume of
the
Springer Verlag LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science) series and
distributed at the Conference. We plan also to publish selected papers
in a
special issue of one of international journals.


LANGUAGE

The official language of the Conference is English.


SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

The Conference will be held in Academgorodok, a picturesque part of
Novosibirsk where many institutions of Siberian Branch of Russian
Academy of
Sciences are located. Participants will be able to see Siberian nature,
cultural places of Novosibirsk and the scientific museums of
Academgorodok.
The personal or collective tours to Altai Mountains are also planned.
