Dear colleagues,

The new deadline for SAGA 2007 papers submission is February, 28th, 2007.

The first Symposium on Algebraic Geometry and its Applications (SAGA 2007)
will be held in the island of Tahiti, French Polynesia, May 7th to May 11th, 2007.

We remind you the deadlines :
- reception of abstract by February, 28th, 2007 ;
- notification by March, 1st, 2007 ;
- final version by March, 31th, 2007 ;

The annual Groups in Galway conference will be held at the National University of Ireland, Galway on May 18-19 this year. All who are interested are invited to attend.

The following is a provisional list of speakers so far:

    * Dr Peter Campbell (University of Bristol, UK)
    * Professor Bettina Eick (TU Braunschweig, Germany)
    * Professor Murray Elder (Stevens Institute of Technology, USA)
    * Professor Charles Leedham-Green (Queen Mary, University of London, UK)
    * Dr Colva Roney-Dougal (University of St Andrews, UK)
    * Professor Howard Smith (Bucknell University, USA)

The scope of the conference covers all areas of group theory, applications, and related fields. This year the conference will once again include a poster session. All interested persons, especially postgraduate students, are invited to contribute to this session.

Prospective participants should register their intention to attend the conference by contacting Dane Flannery or Rachel Quinlan.
