So far no luck by monitoring in nailing down which frequencies KNLS
is actually using for English at 1200-1300 UT. I e-mailed them several days ago
about the contradictory schedules on their website, but no reply and no fix,
just rechecked at 2317 UT April 13. At 1200 is it on 7355 and 9780 or 7355 and
9920?

April 9 just tuned in at 1259 and all I could be sure of was that 7355 was not
// 9920; no IDs heard.

April 10 at 1239 on 9920 heard some hymns and talk, not in English but
something like Thai, so FEBC Manila as also scheduled here? Nothing audible on
7355. At 1243 could not make out anything intelligible on 9780.

April 13 at 1218, 9920 in a Vietnamese-like language, so FEBC? 9780 had the
Chinese echo jamming tactic, against what? There may well have been another

R. Solh, off the back via Rampisham, 17700 sometimes
holds up past 1700, as noted April 11, scheduled until 1800, but April 13 after
listening to its wonderful music for the better part of an hour (not including
the Solh Theme which I thought might show up at other times reliably), went off
the air abruptly at 1559* and was still off at 1608 when I gave up waiting for
it to return. I wonder if they have decided to move to a lower frequency for

on 7440. Last night was also quite
decent, but perhaps not quite as good. Transmitter site is Lviv rather than the previously used Kopani. Vlad Titarev and I found this site several years ago. It's

located south east of Lviv and was essentially deserted when we were there. It's good to see that it's back in operation and possibly better suited for us in mid and

which I assume is a fairly typical day, we find these foreign language
segments, converted from UT +2 to UT:

English: 2215-2230, 0200-0230, 0600-0603, 1000-1003, 1600-1630, 1805-1815
Spanish: 2230-2300, 0230-0300, 1200-1203
Italian: 1400-1430
Hungarian (`Madarskom`): 1630-1700
Frequencies not specified, but I suppose these are both on the domestic SW
transmitters and the German relays if the time fits. The 2215 and 0200
broadcasts should be on 6165 direct and 9925 via Germany

R. Sweden, English relay via Canada on 15240, April 13 at
1359 concluding with IS, but at 1359:30 another carrier came on some 100 Hz
away causing the IS to sound off-pitch; this het lasted until 1405*. Now at
1400, R. Sweden is supposed to switch back from Sackville to Hörby, and I am
not aware of any other station that might be on 15240, so was R. Sweden
interfering with itself? Using 15240 both for direct and relay broadcasts
requires tight coordination, which isn`t always the case. At 1100-1300 it`s
supposed to be Hörby including English at 1230, then Sackville for an hour in

In common with others I have heard Pori on 600KW with excellent
results. I have no separate meter but despite some fading I judge that
between 1845 and 2000, the average was 44444.
This is remarkable since my QTH is all of 25KM away from the 0.95KW
local transmitter which booms out day and night. Fortunately a 90
degree shift in ferrite rod blocks this annoying "titch" off the radar
and points due North.
After 2000, the signal was a little weaker.
Finally, I was monitoring this (YES!!!) to check on a "silly ball
game" involving Liverpool FC in the Champions League. Apologies to the soccer-loathing Glenn

A full 55555. In not simply FM, but nearly DAB clarity!!
Other broadcasters are missing out on a superb resource to blanket
Europe which with proper advertising would prove profitable.

Вчера на работе подключил свой Деген к УКВ антенне. У нас для охраны хотели закупить рации,но дальше антенны дело не продвинулось. У

меня друг коротковолновик такую антенну использует для 2-х метрового диапазона.
Вот, что смог принять.
101.3 Lowe Radio
105.3 Радио Зебра
105.8 Русское радио
106.6 Маяк
104.5 Радио Шансон
Последняя станция скорее всего из Красноярска 45.
Я на днях ездил в Красноярск брал с собой приёмник,но вот частоты принятых там станций не записал, но по памяти Радио Шансон работает

на 103.6.
Ещё один мой косяк, я не мониторил эфир по дороге.
Наверняка в Красноярск 45, Бородино, Уяре есть и другие станции.
В ближайшее время должен опять совершить подобную поездку и на этот раз буду внимательнее.
Вообще приём FM станций оказался весьма интересной штукой, но скорее всего он у меня ограничен только красноярскими станциями.
Было бы не плохо заполучить антенну с работы домой, коль уже наше производство умирает и установить её на крыше. Здесь правда проблема

как попасть на чердак. У нас в доме много пенсионеров и за чердаком они бдят как за своими пенсиями. Приходят телефонисты и с таким

скандалом попадают на крышу, что мне не особенно хочется и радио слушать. Я уже лет восемь не могу развернуть ТВ антенну на местную

вышку, старческий вой стоит за квартал, а в такие моменты и я не могу разговаривать нормально и всё заканчивается матами и взаимными

оскорблениями.
Может УКВ антенна будет работать на балконе (у меня 4-й этаж). Надо будет экспериментировать.

9.04.2007 на частоте 4810 кГц с 19.10 по 19.23 принимал
неопознанную радиостанцию. В эфире звучала музыкальная программа
(песня "Ламбада", медленные композиции на английском языке) общий
сигнал на 3. Просмотрел в интернете данные по этой частоте. Ничего в
принципе по этому времени на этой частоте не должно быть: AIR до
17.40, африканские станции на этой частоте не работают; латинские
станции наврядли; есть Армянское радио, но оно работает по утрам.
Если кто что-то знает, помогите опознать. Заранее благодарен.
И еще, Голос Африки из Ливии принимается на старых частотах по
вечерам на 11965 и 9885 кГц. Хотя в летнем расписании их уже нет.

Tuning along 31mb at around 0715 this Sunday morning (April 15) I came
across Latin American sounding music on about 9737.40 (with splash from HCJB
9740). However, it didn't turn out to be what I thought it might be when I
heard a lady announcer speaking in Romanian! A quick check of 11970 revealed
that this was in parallel, and so it turned out to be one of Romania's
Sunday morning programmes that show on their website as...........

............and I assume the frequency should have been 9700.

There were two stations very close together at 0700 - one using 9705.00
which was the strongest, and I suggest was Niger. They do extend
transmissions past this hour at weekends. The other was on approximately
9704.30, but with no audible audio. Ethiopia should have been on air on
Sunday at this time so possibly them. Same time Riyadh was a fairly good

Indeed, a very large net !
Many players, sadly no correct locations are IDed.

The NCS on 5 MHz seems to be 2001 and 1001 while
on 9 MHz 2011 did all (most) TO-callings. ?

BTW, how did we (100%ly ?) ID this net as MRC CP ?

New to the 4- and 5-figure are some very few 6-figure
idents in the 13xxxxx-series. Maybe a miss-programmed ALE
box?

Do we have more detailed research work about this net?
any analysis ?

Beside the Civil Protection net there is a another large
MRC net from the military, sometimes together with some
Civil Protection "idents". What make me wonder is that
I can't find any "low band" frequency (5 MHz etc.), only
8 MHz and higher. How could they serve all domestic paths
without any "real" NVIS channel? Or did I missed them?

11175.0 was active at 0210z with BEEF CAKE (or sounds like; good
levels with deep fades to weak/sometimes unheard levels and back)
bcsting a 98-character EAM (HVG7XH) and simulcasting same on at least
8992.0 (weak/readable with deep fades to unheard levels) with nothing
heard on 4724.0 or 15016.0. He ended his xmsn with the "standing by
for traffic statement" and out. EAM string contained distinctive,
possibly repetitive formatting including 14-character ending block
common to some of these strings. EAM had been bcst by the HFGCS in

This EAM was just sent (0252z) on 4724.0 with nothing heard here on
the other HF-GCS freqs or 11494/11244, but I missed the ID due to
another station transmitting at the same time. There was no "standing
by for traffic" statement, just "This concludes message of nine-eight

Радио Монте-Карло снова в нашем городе. Спустя 5.5 лет стильное и модное радио возвращается в Питер. Это уже третья попытка закрепиться

на FМ диапазоне. Ранее, в 2000-м и 2001-м, оно вещало на 103.4, но тогда, в ноябре, его вытеснило Русское Радио-2. Будем надеяться, это

Hoy he recibido una postal de la seccion inglesa de Radio Budapest, que es la que verifica QSLs y contesta cartas. Me responden un mail que les envie cuando

cerraron el departamento de Italiano y estaba en riesgo (una vez mas) el de Espanol. La postal dice:
"Unfortunately, it is true that Radio Budapest will discontinue its broadcasts in Spanish and Italian".

Traduzco: "Desafortunadamente, es cierto que Radio Budapest descontinuara sus transmisiones en espanol e italiano".

Las transmisiones en italiano fueron finalizadas, pero R.B. aun anunciaba este idioma en su esquema A-07, al igual que el espanol. Mi ultima escucha en espanol fue el

11 de Marzo. Actualmente no he podido escucharle, por lo cual no se si siguen emitiendo. Tratare de escuchar en estos dias.

De todos modos les pido por favor estar atentos a Radio Budapest por si la oyen en espanol, y si no la oyen tambien estar atentos. Si la han oido despues del 25 de

marzo o no, por favor avisenme, al igual que les solicito avisar como les va escuchandola estos dias. Desafortunadamente el departamento de Espanol no responde ni

mis mails ni los envios por carta que les hago con las cartas que envio al de Ingles.

Si alguien tiene contacto con Sergio Perez, les ruego consultarme.

1130-1430 on Sunday, 22 April via Sitkunai 9710 (100kW) with the 279
degrees antenna. Laser Radio is the label for a "new" relay service project
by Andrew Yates. Some years ago his productions/relays were carried by the
Ulbroka relay service in Latvia under the label "Laser Radio" and "Euronet

адаптирован под российского зрителя, хотя приоритетным направлением канала станет показ матчей с участием английский клубов. Увидят ли

болельщики трансляции чемпионата России, не сообщается.
На канале "Спорт" запланированы специализированные передачи, фильмы о футболе, а также показ отборочных игр чемпионата Европы - 2008

и старых матчей.
Напомним, что перед началом чемпионата России - 2007 возникла спорная ситуация по поводу трансляций матчей турнира. Эксклюзивные

права на показ первенства страны купил канал "НТВ-Плюс", однако впоследствии возможность транслировать четыре из восьми матчей тура

получил общедоступный канал "РТР-Спорт". Кроме того, одну встречу каждого игрового дня в прямом эфире показывает Первый канал.

The Broadcasting Board of Governors/International Broadcasting Bureau's
Office of Contracts intends to negotiate and award a non-competitive
contract to Harris Corporation, Broadcast Communications Division, to
re-commission and change the frequency of the Harris DX600 transmitter that
IBB has relocated from Rhodes, Greece to Kuwait.

Harris Corporation originally delivered and installed the same transmitter
at Rhodes in 1995, and also provided three essentially identical (two were
larger) transmitters at other IBB sites. The transmitter at Rhodes used to
operate on 1260 kHz, but was taken out of service last year. In Kuwait, it
will operate on 1386 kHz.

As contractual deadlines loom their heads and force us to make unavoidable
pragmatic decisions we have tried to weight all factors and put our options
in perspective. It is a hard decision but one that cannot be avoided.

The financial contribution made by Eritreans and friends of Eritrea in
order to salvage Asmarino and Voice of Meselna Delina has been very
encouraging and extremely appreciated. But it has fallen way short of the
intended target. We owe tremendous gratitude for those who made all effort
to keep these two nascent institutions afloat. We hope now and in the
future their material and moral support will be with us as we struggle to
balance the ever-growing need for democratic media outlet and meager
resources-financial and material. A decade of experience has proven to us
that needs and resources are rarely in prefect balance. Our immediate
challenge, once again, underscores this experience- anchored valid
observation.

As we approach the end of March 2007 we are faced with making a rational
compromise. We came to the conclusion that Radio Voice of Meselna Delina
must stay on the air at all cost and continue broadcasting to the people of
Eritrea. All the funds contributed, if it is the wish of the contributors,
can be channeled to this end. The people of Eritrea need the alternative
information source. The shortwave broadcast must take precedence over the
Diaspora need. We hope most of you agree with this underlining reason for
the decision to continue Voice of Meselna Delina and give us your approval
to deploy your contribution to this end. We can and will keep working on
how to revive Asmarino in the immediate future.

For us building a free and independent media outlet is fundamentally part
and parcel of the struggle to build a democratic society and culture in
Eritrea. In the strategic sense the immediate crisis we are facing is an
avoidable aspect of the overall growth process. No worthy institution,
dedicated to the role of being the watch dog of the people, can surmount
this kind of challenges without an infusion of grass-root support. Building
this indispensable institution is primarily and fundamentally the duty and
responsibility of the people starved for democracy. When we build it we
take ownership and assure its authenticity. The pride and glory that comes
with building the organs of free press will belong to us the direct victims
of the authoritarian regime.

We are doing everything humanly possible to find long term solution to the
challenges we are facing. We are still hopeful that in the next five to
seven days you will rally around Asmarino and Voice of Meselna Delina and
help save both media outlets. We hope and pray that will happen and we can
continue to expand the democratic space.

We will keep you informed.

Получил электронную QSL от Australian Bureau of Meteorology. Писал по адресу: M.Dalakis@bom.gov.au.
Так как я негативно отношусь к электронным подтверждениям. отправил письмо с просьбой прислать бумажную QSL. На, что был получен

ответ. Раньше QSL распечатывались на цветном принтере, но поскольку последнее время стало много заказом, то для станции электронная

форма подтверждения - оптимальна.
Кстати, у меня есть уже от них подтверждение QSL письмом.

Получил сегодня QSL от RAI International. Рапорт от 25 октября отправлял на
raiway.hfmonitoring@rai.it. 20 марта получил их летнее расписание с этого же
адреса, письмо было выполнено как ответ именно на мой рапорт.
Поинтересовавшись у Mario Ballabio, не вышлет ли он "бумажную" QSL, узнал,
что она уже отправлена. И вот, спустя 156 дней после отправки получил пакет
от RAI Way. Там были 4 QSL, одна из которых заполнена и небольшое письмо от
того же Марио, что-то типа вот ваша QSL, плучите-распишитесь. В целом
