Bank's First Deputy Chairman Alexei Ulyukayev said during today's State Duma
session. He stressed that the Central Bank did not seek to strengthen the ruble.
On the contrary, the bank's recent interventions on the currency market were
aimed at preventing the ruble's rise, Ulyukayev said.
