Мы проводим нагрузочное тестирование БД Domino. В ходе подготовки к тестированию, был написан нагрузочный скрипт для инструмента Lotus Server.Load, были подготовлены базы данных разного размера. Запустили нагрузочное тестирование на базы данных с разным количеством виртуальных пользователей.

Планировалось снятие замеров времени отклика открытия представлений, документов и создания новых документов. Для этого в настроечном файле Notes.Ini завели три переменные:

Client_Clock=1

Debug_console=1

Debug_outfile=C:\LNDeb.txt

В ходе снятия замеров выявилось что показания замеров, полученных подобным образом координально отличается от замеров с помощью секундомера.

Также было выявлено, что замеры, снятые в не нагрузочном состоянии, не отличаются от замеров, снятых после нагрузки.

В связи с этим хотелось бы узнать Ваше мнение по данной проблеме. Если возможно, поделитесь скриптом нагрузки

May is ending and with it our Migration May series. So far, we've covered Say goodbye to Notes/Domino 6.5, Migration May: more migration resources for upgrading Notes, Migration May: moving from Outlook to Notes, and Migration May: Synchronizing Active Directory. This week, we'll look at ways to migrate from SharePoint to Lotus Notes.

Although we haven't found any export-it-and-it'll-run solutions, there is at least one vendor who offers an interesting integration solution, especially if you're using Notes 8 and above.

We've known the Mainsoft people for years and always enjoy seeing them at Lotusphere.

Mainsoft offers a SharePoint Integrator for Lotus Notes.

One word of caution: you have to be careful of their marketing spin. They're pitching this to "Drive SharePoint adoption throughout your enterprise," but it's more than that.

Basically, they've created widgets that allow you to integrate SharePoint tools right into your Notes environment. For some companies, that might make it easier to move to SharePoint, it's also a great way to either move off of SharePoint or co-exist with SharePoint.

As Figure A shows, you can be in your Notes environment, and have your existing SharePoint installation open in the Notes sidebar. More valuable, you can drag and drop between both.

So, whether you're moving individual account data into Notes or just trying to live with the loyal opposition, now you can have your Notes and SharePoint, too.

Idea:
IBM Lotus Notes Help/Lotus Domino Administrator Help/Lotus Domino Designer Help - it would be nice if next to each topic in Help there is a "Show Me" button that would show a video clip of how to do this and/or it would take the user to screen shots that shows them how to do this step by step...

-  maybe a button that would also search the product wiki and technotes, etc... for whatever topic the user is on in help for additional information, etc.

If you're in the client and you click;
 
File, Import then type or paste an import file name;  
 
for example:  Mypicture.jpg and press Enter,
 
Notes will prompt you to Preserve Existing Line Breaks in Text?
It will then import gobbledy-gook.
 
If you want to import a JPEG, you either have to type the name and then choose JPEG in the Files of Type box or you have to click on a JPEG File.
 
This has been a problem for years and I keep thinking that someone will wise up and fix it but it's not happening.
