Возможно ли по гиперссылке (или другой вариант), которая хранится в книге в MS Excel, открыть документ/формы в клиенте Lotus Notes? то есть выйти на документ
Добрый день!
Агент вызывающий Web-сервис с помощью Axis, вызывает ошибки если файлы jar (axis.jar, commons-discovery-0.2.jar и commons-logging-1.0.4.jar) непосредственно добавлены в агент. Если файлы скопированы в \jvm\lib\ext Notes-клиента, то агент выполняется нормально. В чем проблема, поможет кто-нибудь? Спасибо.

Возможно ли настроить Lotus так, чтобы тело письма исходящей SMTP почты (не вложение) отправлялось в plain/text или на крайний случай Quoted Printable?

David's hard at work finishing another chapter in his upcoming book, so he's asked me to answer another DominoPower reader question. This time, reader Kimberly Arechiga asks:

I work for a major, national research laboratory and we've brought Quickr in as a test for a few projects. It's pretty impressive, but the scientists here need the ability to format equations properly, and I can't figure out a reasonably easy way to do that in Quickr.
Right now, we're using a standalone equation editor, grabbing screenshots, and pasting them into postings. But there's got to be a better way.
Please tell me there's an equation editor plug-in for Quickr.

Well, Kimberly, you're in luck. There is an equation editor for Quickr, shown in Figure A.

It's part of a bigger plug-in, EditLive for Quickr, from Ephox. EditLive adds all sorts of style formatting to Quickr, along with tables, forms, change tracking, and even a thesaurus.

The only gotcha is the solution might be a bit expensive. We don't have pricing information on the product, but EditLive comes in a Professional version and an Enterprise version. The equation editor (and the thesaurus) is only provided in the Enterprise version.

It sounds like you're a pretty big organization, so that probably won't be much of a problem for you, but we'd encourage Ephox to put professional features like equation editing and thesaurus into the Professional version and keep the more enterprise-level features, like change management, in the Enterprise variant.

Like an excited child I've been checking the online tracking of the two boxes above several times a day, wathing them make their way to Nottingham, from Hong Kong, via Dubai and Cologne. Finally they're here.

I tried to leave unboxing for as long as I could. Lasted about 2 minutes and I was in there. It booted to Windows Vista although it's now at the "copying files" stage of a fresh install of Windows 7.

I'll let you know what my impressions of it all later on...

As of now if we open the categorized view in lotus notes, the look and feel and the categorization option also toooooo bad.
There should be some mechanism in designer such that if u open categorized view, then it should be opened in the ajaz formatted view. Which is very convinient and fast.(Categorization without loading the entire page.)

Validation on Xpages is driving me crazy.  With Notes classic I would typically do validations with @If(@isDocbeingSaved;....) as a way of deferring validations until the document is being commited.  With Xpages the Validators seem to kick in with every full or partial refresh.  Rather than moving all my validation to JS or SSJS I would like a simple option to request valioation only be done at the time of a submit or save.

In a resource reservation database you can enable an agent "Purge Documents" which removes reservations older than 2 days.
 
I would like to have an agent for cleaning old reservations with a number of day retention defined by resource.
 
Easy to do, but should be in standard.

Regarding the Top innovators feature, you are able to see the glorious ones, who made it to the top. But you can't tell your rank.
  • Display Users Score in relation to the top innovators on the "Top Innovators"-Form If you are a top innovator, mark the corresponding row, lets say bold or red If you are no top innovator, append a row showing your score and rank
  • Display Users Score in his/her profile
Furthermore it is not easy to understand the way the score is computed. This may frustrat the users, who are tring hard to get to the top.

Idea:
Besides the "all-time-greatest"-innovators implement a feature based on a smaller timeframe: a week, a month or anything like that. This will make it a lot easier to motivate people to contribute by promising goodies (money, pcs, cars, beer...) to the best in this timeframe.

Idea:
One of the key aspects of getting IQ Jam to work effectively seems to be to encourage people to mark answers as the correct answer.  This helps to
1) Identify questions without a correct answer
2) Indetify the correct answer to those with the same question
3) identify those peope who are providinbg correct answers (subject experts).
 
My suggestion is to povide easy access to a view that allows each participant to quickly review the questions they have asked for which they have not yet identified a correct answer.  Exclude questions without answers.  The super sophisticated approach would be to allow me to mark my questions as reviewed and then to only show questions with new answers since a last completed a review.  This is a bit like linked in and how it identifies "new" contacts for the companies/schools you have associations with.

It seems I am only able to mark a single answer as being the correct answer.  In many sutuations there may be many ways to solve the same problem or a complete/better answer would come from combining the ideas in multiple asnwers.  I would therefor like the ability to tag multiple answers as being correct answers.

When using advanced searching and specifically search by field name, there are too many fields listed in the drop down box. There should be a way to limit which fields should appear in this list, and there should be a way to show alternate text but have the query use the true field name.
It is also a hassle finding fields you actually know about. Eg. you cannot type in the word "Body" to locate it, you have to type the letter "B" and then arrow though to the value you want. It really wouldn't hurt to put some polish

Certain diagnostic NOTES.INI settings related to dbdirman can cause an undercount of DAOS references during resync. Undercounting can lead to premature deletion of attachments from the DAOS repository during prune operations.
The ScanMail application from Trend Micro will cause unpredictable behavior including a panic or crash. This is particularly true in situations where ScanMail is processing an NSF that has attachments that are stored in DAOS. The problem is not, however, limited to DAOS, because the root problem in ScanMail can cause other unpredictable results even when DAOS is not in use.
After DAOS has been enabled on a Domino server, if the virus scanner has not been configured properly to avoid .NLO files, "File is in use" errors may occur.
A truncated list of folders is shown in the Notes 8.0.2 Standard client, but the full list can be seen running in Notes Basic Configuration.
By default, .NLO files are deleted 30 days after their reference count goes to zero. Here are two events that can prevent or delay the deletion of these files.
