Такая ерунда случается, если перед удалением правила, оно не выключается. Хранится правило в профайле почтовой базы, увидеть это можно утилитой NotesPeek. Как выход, создать такое же правило, пересохранить, выключить его, сохранить, опять зайти и удалить.

можно установить свойство Protect или только перед сохранением, если можно пример?

на самом клиенте проверте время
Проблемма такая, подготовил рабочее место для пользователя, все установил, ставлю клиента Лотус 7.0.2 уазываю сервер, имя пользователя, указываю ID файл - а мне в ответ, Ошибак:Время сертификата истекло.... НА сервере все Ок, плюс беру любую другую...
на самом клиенте проверте время
Т.е. проблема такая возникает имеено с Lotus Notes на этой машине? На других машинах, с той же версией Lotus Notes и тем же ID файлом все нормально?

This message ist presented to USERS! Neither they know, what an Administration program is, nor the care about a running Domino Server.
Their client crashed some seconds before and when they try to restart the client, this message is shown.
 
We have a lot of questions to stop the running domino server, because a user cannot start his client :-)

Idea:
Taking a cue from Safari and now Chrome, it would be nice to have the ability to drag a tab out of the notes client window and have it open a seperate window.  This would be very useful for workflow that involves multiple views/docs.

Idea:
We want to see a Blogger's Lounge, as many other large shows have now.
Perhaps part of the press area, but it's a place for us, and for others to come, meet, learn(we can schedule mini sessions) train, do interviews and of coursse blog.
Sponsorship is possible, and ancillary items are already being asked.
I await some answer from IBM on this, until then will keep investigating it on a private side.
In discussion with furniture company to provide green/ecological items for our benefit.
Any input is appreciated.

Idea:
Recently, our company has entered into an agreement to purchase another company. If you know where I work and you follow the business news, you know what I'm talking about. As part of our normal migration of users from a new company, we set up the users in Domino as if they were already on our mail system, but, we add in their current companies internet email address in the "Forwarding address" field in the Person Document so that any mail that is addressed to them at our domain, get sent to there's. Not a big deal. It's nice to have that in place so that when I migrate them from Exchange to Domino, the mail file and everything else is in place and all we need to do is remove the forward and migrate their stuff. But, it became a big deal when I was told the amount of users that are involved in this migration. Well over 1000. So I started looking into using the "Import text file" option available in the user registration screen. Really nice feature if you have uber amounts of people to add into Domino and you get a text file export from HR of usernames. But, it's not so nice if you have to do what I was describing above. There is a limitation to what the import can do. As I had found out through searching the web and talking with support, even though you enter in a forwarding address in the text document, when you register them in Domino it will not populate that field in their Person Document. The only way that field will get populated is if you select "Other Internet" or "Other" for Mail system. Only then will you see on the address tab the users other internet email address, but then you do not have any Lotus Notes information for the user available. So, this means that I will have to do one of two things:
1. Register everyone normally, then go in and cut and paste in the other internet email address to the Forwarding address field.
2. Register the user twice. Once with the Mail system set to Lotus Notes, and then a second time with Other Internet selected. Then when I register them for a second time, tell the registration process to update the person record for each user. Once that's done, go into each person document and switch the mail system back to Lotus Notes so that it shows all of the information.
Sounds like a lot of work, doesn't it? I'm sure that there is some code that could be written to help with this process, but then that involves adding more people to the mix and making the process harder than I think it should be.  It would be nice if that in the Domino Admistrator when you import that text file, it will register the user as a Lotus Notes user with the Forwarding address information added.

MS Office, MS servers and all the MS products are available. Also Adobe and Symantec gives heavy discounts.
 
I volunteer for a historical society and had to install MS Small Business server and Exchange for them :-(

Yes, IBM Lotus have some discounts they can give to non-for-profits, but MS is giving like 90% percent off on some products there!!!

It should not contain the basics of programming, nor focus on any particular classes. Instead it will be an overview of what to think about, and some useful tips and tricks:
* Why Lotusscript and Javascript, and not just @Formula? Explain how important it is to know all three languages and point out where one can be used but not another.
* Templates, what are they, why use them? Explain cascading templates and their benefits.
* Using lists in Lotusscript. Explain why this is such a powerful data type, and give a few example of how it can speed up application and make them much easier to write.
* Object Oriented Lotusscript - what is it and why use it? Give a few small examples to wet their appetite, then refer to in-depth session
* UI design: why is this important? 10 tips for creating an application your users will like, without thinking Notes sucks. Refer to in-depth sessions.
* Easy maintenance: why it is important to write code easy to read, and how you can help yoru self or your fellow developers, e.g. by using red for hidden text on forms/in views, and other de-facto standards. Also talk about form/view/variable/script library naming conventions.

The idea is to get an overview, with a few tips and tricks for each section, and then refer to more in-depth sessions where they will learn more.

For a few topics, code samples will be included. I'd like this to be run without being taped. The emphasis is on Domino/Sametime/Quickr Platform specifics for AIX, Linux, Windows on servers, Linux/Win/Mac for clients (all are in use). Versions go from Domino 4 through 8.x (yes, we have them all).
 
Messaging and Application upgrades are painful because they interrupt processes, introduce risk, and require justification and budgeting. It is possible to survive the executives who want Exchange, those who are eager to outsource to GoogleMail and win over the techies that think anything with Lotus on it is Grandpa's Buick.
 
I'm borrowing the "Evidence-Based" terminology from recent medical and management methodologies, because I've found that approach to be extraordinarily effective in building momentum and communicating the upgrade process. My upgrades are preceded by a study and analysis, they are monitored with live stats, and they are followed up with comprehensive summaries.
 
If your company easily funds IT expenditures, is well-staffed, your systems are one version behind, and everyone follows all the recommended best-practice guidelines, then you won't need this session.

My company is The Washington Post Newspaper, which is part of several different entities under the umbrella of The Washington Post, none of which use Lotus Notes. As a developer, are you quite proud of your kewl coding skills (plumbing), while your users are more impressed with the visual appeal of the application (painting)? Many developers haven't made a good transition from plumber to painter. Travel with Tom as he shows how he's working through that transition himself, learning about such things as font selection, color selection, user interface design, and all those other things you'd really like to ignore (but the users keep demanding). The need and ability to create visually appealing applications is something that has long been lacking in the Notes community. We’ve all seen ugly Notes applications that look like they were developed back in the R3 days. This session will force a change in the mindset of developers, and lay the groundwork for changing the way they view their application development skills. This session was first given at ILUG 2008 and met with very high reviews.

I'm sure the focus of LS09 will be on XPages but there will still be a lot of developers using older versions of Domino for web development, and hopefully this session will be useful to them.
 
Domino web development requires a subtle blend of skill, knowledge and black magic. This session will show you some really neat tricks that will allow you to use the wrong design element to do ultimately the right thing. Examples that we'll look at will include how you can post a new document to an agent so that you can process the data before it gets to be a real document, why you might want to import a Javascript library as a style sheet, why Pages are useful as Style Sheets and how to use views but not the age old html tables that they output for you. All of these tips and tricks will work as far back as Domino 6.x so you can go back to the office after Lotusphere and make use of them whether or not you have the latest and greatest versions.

This would be a technical session focusing on one specific topic.  I believe you can do a lot to make your applications much more modern and Web 2.0 like by bringing a lot of those best practices to bear in the Notes client.  My last two sessions with Nathan Freeman at Lotusphere covered a lot of ground, so we couldn't go into deep details on a lot of the techniques.  With this session, I would focus on tips and techniques for eliminating views from your designs (from the UI standpoint) and using views in different ways, such as embedded view techniques, tricks with the action bar, etc.

If you read my blog, it will come as no surprise to you that I think the user interface is the most important aspect of your application.  To the user, the UI *is* the application, so it's important to make it as solid and friendly as possible.  Unfortunately, Lotus Notes has long suffered from applications developed with UI being an afterthought, leading to difficult to use, unattractive applications.  In this session, we would explore the business justifications for using a screen back approach to design, starting with the interface first.  You'll uncover the reasons why this is so important for businesses today, how to convince your boss to change your design methodology and the benefits you get from using this approach (think: faster project completion, better user acceptance, etc.).  You'll also walk away with answers to the question on why you should re-design the UI of existing high profile applications.

As organizations are continually aquiring other companies or divesting aspects of their business, the need to either consolidate, or split Domino domains is not an easy task nor is it a quick task. 
 
In a world where divestitures and acquisitions are increasingly common, the need to either consolidate or split Domino Domains becomes a necessary practice that even seasoned Domino Administrators find a daunting task. There are good ways of doing things and there are bad ways of doing things. There is no right way or wrong way to do things but there are several pitfalls that can easily cause the project to fail. This session will cover best practices for renaming users, moving users, directory distribution, migration applications, and desktop reconfiguration for the new domain. The session will also cover possible scenarios in the event that the migration is not an amicable one.

Idea:
I would love to see a complete "how to" session on self-registering for the web, as there's no easy to find documentation (though I'm sure it exists somewhere) and the entire process mystifies me.
Things I need to know and would like to see:
1. Setting up an additional address book to handle the registrations
2. Adding a self-register module to a custom application (and how to handle if user forgets password)
3. Adding the login box to a custom application
4. Licensing considerations for a self-registered application
 
Basically the way that OpenNTF.org and Ideajam.net handles all their registered users. Maybe someone could do a case study?

Please add a visual idicator of teh status of the ToDo entry in the "day at a glance" Summary sidebar. Currently I can't see if a ToDo entry is already completed or not and it is irritating. I also wouldn't mind if completed ToDos will not be shown in the day at a glance window.

By default, Lotus Domino will only journal a message once, on the first server where a journaling rule exists. You have a requirement to journal messages on more than one server. Is this possible?
In Lotus Domino, you create several mail rules to check for DBCS/Chinese characters which, if found, will take a specific action. However, the mail rules do not work. Why not?
