Spain: Solari commends Real Madrid's 'character' after Huesca win

Real Madrid's manager Santiago Solari commended his team's «charachter» as they claimed a 1-0 win over SD Huesca, when speaking at a postmatch press conference in Huesca on Sunday.
«The general character of the team was great,» stressed Solari, adding that «sometimes when the ball is up in the air, and when there's a lot of wind, you don't know where it's going to end up. It's clear that we are less adapted to playing in these kind of conditions, but we won.»
In turn, SD Huesca manager Francisco Javier Rodriguez Vilchez said, «At least we are creating near goal chances, we need to be cool-headed when we are about to score.»
Real Madrid won 1-0 against Huesca at the El Alcoraz stadium, with Gareth Bale scoring the only goal in the match in the 8th minute, thus sending Real Madrid into La Liga's top four.

Buenos Aires police dispersed agitated River Plate fans who gathered near the Obelisco de Buenos Aires monument in the early hours of Monday, to celebrate their squad's 3-1 victory over Boca Juniors in the 2018 Copa Libertadores final.
Some of the fans were seen handcuffed and lying on the ground, others involved in minor scuffles with police and each other.
Boca's Dario Benedetto scored in the 44th minute; however, River did not lose their spirit, with Lucas Pratto equalising for River in the second half, forcing the match into extra-time. In the 108th minute, Juan Fernando Quintero scored the second goal for River before Gonzalo Martinez made it 3-1 in the final seconds of the game.
The second match of South America's most important club competition was originally meant to take place in River's home stadium El Monumental; however it was rescheduled and moved to Madrid due to attacks on Boca's team bus by rival fans upon its arrival to the stadium

The Boca Juniors team bus could be seen driving down the highway towards Buenos Aires after the team landed at Ezeiza International Airport on Monday.
The bus was accompanied by a heavy police escort, with armed officers in cars and mounted on motorbikes.
It comes after Boca lost 5-3 on aggregate to River in Madrid on Sunday.

Paris Saint-Germain players trained in Belgrade on Monday, a day ahead of their Champions League game against Red Star.
Before their session, PSG manager Thomas Tuchel held a presser where he admitted tomorrow's game would be a big challenge.
«We respect the atmosphere and the quality that Red Star has, but we will try tomorrow to decide the final position in the group,» Tuchel said.
Victory tomorrow would see PSG advance to the knockout stage of the Champions League, but should Liverpool beat Napoli and PSG lose, then the Parisians would be sent packing from Group C and into the Europa League.

Red Star forward El Fardou Ben said that the team are feeling confident about tomorrow's match against Paris Saint-Germain and that they would «not play the same way we played in Paris» in a press conference in Belgrade on Monday.
