Two rare Diego Armando Maradona shirts from his time at Napoli are set to go under the hammer at a large football memorabilia auction mid-December, CEO of Aste Bolaffi auction house Filippo Bolaffi revealed in Turin on Friday.
One of the kits is a Maradona shirt which he wore during the 1986-1987 season, when he helped his team win their first Scudetto, while the other is a rare red shirt from his last months at the Partenopean side, when he wore a number 9 due to having relinquished the iconic number 10 to Gianfranco Zola.
Over two hundred other football shirts are set to be placed for auction by Aste Bolaffi auction house in Turin on December 13.

Boca Juniors coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto said Argentinian football had lost to violence during a press conference in Las Rozas on Thursday, ahead of the second leg of the Libertadores Cup final which sees his team facing arch-rivals River Plate.
«Unfortunately we don't learn more and it seems that we make the same mistakes over and over again but the only thing that is harmed is the image of football in Argentina and in South America,» Barros Schelotto said on fan violence that forced the match to be moved to Madrid. «We should be talking today about how both River and Boca have put Argentinian football at the highest possible level in the world as far as clubs go. And we are talking about violence. Again, we have lost to violence.»
Commenting on the match, Barros Schelotto predicted it would be «tighter» than the first leg. «In the first leg there were 11 players at risk of missing the second leg because of yellow cards so there were not many tackles. I think that in this match it will be different.»
The Copa Libertadores final between River Plate and Boca Juniors will be played at Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Sunday after a draw in the first leg. It is widely seen as the most important game in Argentina's football history.
The match was originally scheduled for November 24 at River's Monumental stadium. It was twice postponed after Boca players were injured in a bus attack by home fans throwing projectiles.

Because you have moments when you are doing well and you think the momentum is on your side and then it swings the other way around and you need to recover. If you look back, I wouldn't want to have it any different. Because it's what Formula 1 is all about. It's about fighting on track, it's the pinnacle of motor racing. And you expect your competitors to be very strong. It makes the end result even more enjoyable, but while it is going on, it is tough.»
CEO of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team Toto Wolff said he did not enjoy this season’s battle during a FIA press conference in St. Petersburg, Friday.
«While you are in the battle, it's really tough. You have moments when you are doing well and you think the momentum is on your side and then it swings the other way round» stressed Wolff.
Formula One driver for Sauber Kimi Raikkonen, who also took part in the press conference, shared his memories of going to Russia.
«We were in, I think it's called Sosnovy Bor doing ice carting it's like on a speedway rules and speedway track and no brakes,» said Raikkonen, adding that he enjoyed the time there.
Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One driver and a five-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton was also seen at the FIA Gala in St. Petersburg State Phiharmonic Hall.
This year's FIA's General Assembly as well as the end-of-season gala is held in St. Petersburg on December 3-7.
