Montre Livingston Skate Setup and Edit

Kenny Owens put together a little edit of Montre and his Nimhs. Via
Netherland Ice Champs: There was plenty of racing action this past weekend in the Netherlands- the marathon champs took place in Assen- you can check out all the results here (go to the links section). There are a couple of videos for you to check out including Herren A and Herren B (you can view the videos below). Skate Podium also posted an article in not English- see Nederlandse titel voor Arjan Stroetinga.
Harm de Boer Fotografie has come through with a few albums from the event- men's A, men's B, women's, and veterans races.
RRN Update: A few people have been asking and talking about RaceReports.net. It seems that there is an answer in the thread racereports forum- RRN wrote '...I've felt for a long time that the site was not successful and was never able to gather enough support and participation from the skating community. I don't think it has made any appreciable improvement to the sport so it is best for me to direct my energy in areas where I can accomplish something...'.
I liked RRN and I visited it on a fairly regular basis. Thanks Mike for all the work you did and the contributions you made to the sport. Sometimes the contributions someone makes in the name of a given cause often go unseen- I would argue that the skating community appreciated Race Reports.net and that the site will be missed.
Swear Practice: There first practice of the year at the Scooter's Indoor Speed Club is a swearing practice; in his entry Damn, fall again?!, Jacky Shoe explains things; 'As a tradition, at the first practice of each year in Scooters, we are allowed to use swear words...actually, we had to introduce ourselves by swearing. It was fun to hear girls do that too, some of them spent at least 10 seconds to pop up something'.
It seems that the Ottawa indoor skating gang has gotten their 2008 indoor season underway. The fine people at Road Rash Chronicles put up an entry on their website called A brand new year of Indoor.
Snow Skating: Did I start something last year with my snow skating video? Here's a link to a couple of more videos of Italy's Mattia Luconi having fun in the white stuff- see Snow Skate for more- gotta love the hawk! Here's one of the videos- SNOW SKATE or press play below.
World Cup Ringers: Right now is one of those moments that I wish my website made some $ so that I could form a kick-ass men's world cup team with these skaters that, according to the latest entry in World Cup Topics for 2008, are looking for a team; Shane Dobbin (New Zealand), Scott Arlidge (New Zealand), Luca Presti (Italy), Pier Davide Romani (Italy), Francesco Zangarini (Italy), and Andre Phillipe Munoz (Colombia); all 'World Champions are without a team for 2008 at present'.

Actually, lots of people liked to wave and smile at me today. Even though he's sticking his tongue out and making like a half-Spock sign, I still think he was being nice.
