Hi everyone! In this short article I'd like to tell you how to speak about traffic in English. I go to work by car. And if you live in Moscow it's a given that you're going to stuck in traffic everyday. In any large city actually, I'm not saying only about Moscow. And it's a little bit scary to be honest, because there is no place for new roads anymore, but people buy new cars everyday. And I don't know how it will be in five years for example. Will see It's clear that traffic in Moscow is getting worse year be year.
So first of all, «дорожная пробка» in Englush it's «traffic jam». And if you want to say «Я стою в пробке», you can say:
I stuck in traffic jam.
(Я стою в пробке)
to stuck in traffic jam — стоять в пробке.
You can also say just:
I stuck in traffic.
It's normal.
So now you know how to speak about traffic in English. And if you stuck in traffic it's a good time to just relax and listen to podcasts in English. Or you can also listen to radio in English. Improve your English everywhere!
Keep calm in traffic jam and take care!;-)
