Hi everyone! As I told you in the article «Where to talk in English», SharedTalk is a very good resource to improve your English and make new friends. In this article I'd like to show you how to use the website.

When we learn English and want to speak this language, the most important thing is practice. We should try to speak English as much as possible. In the beginning it's going to be pretty hard, but it's the way we learn and improve our language. By speaking English we're getting better in it day by day. And eventually you will improve your stuff and begin to speak English easily.

Believe me, because I know what I'm talking about. I got through all the speaking troubles and improved my English in a pretty short time. And I still do the same I did in the beginning.

So you should always work your English out!

Ok now let's see how we can use SharedTalk. Step by step I'll show you it!

Speak English by SharedTalk.

First of all what is it SharedTalk?

SharedTalk.com — this is an international social website which is dedicated to the language exchange. If you learn some language and want to find people who you can talk to, this resource is going to help you a lot. You can not only talk on voice chat there, but just chat with people as well. And what's really cool, SharedTalk is absolutely free!

Why I said «the language exchange»? Cause you can find people there who are native English speakers and for example learn Russian. So you can help each other. It's very easy and powerful!

But I have to say that most people on SharedTalk are not native speakers. But if you really want it's not going to be a problem for you to find and make friends with native speakers there! I'm sure about that, because I found such people there and we still keep in touch with them!

1. So the first thing you have to do is to go to SharedTalk.com and register there. It's very simple and will take you just a couple of minutes.

2. When you're registered you should sign up using your login and password.

3. When you do all these things you can just go to the search form and find your partner. Or you can also:

— go to the voice chat;

— go to the text chat;

— go to your Profile and edit it.

I recommend you to edit your Profile in first. Point your native language and the language you learn. Also write several words about yourself. It will help other SharedTalk members to find out more information about you. There are some more settings in your Profile. All they are simple and you'll not have problems with it.

In fact, it's pretty easy to use SharedTalk. I think you'll like it. But I'd like to tell you about one very important thing on SharedTalk.

Let's try to talk to someone together right now:

Go back to the main page of the website, clicking «Домой» on the top. Now click «Голосовой чат». Now you have to allow SharedTalk to use your microphone. Just choose «Разрешить» and click «Закрыть». So you're in the voice chat now. There is a list of members in front of you. I advise you to mark «Показывать только доступных участников» below the list.

Now you can just choose a member from the list and invite him to the voice chat, clicking «Пригласить в голосовой чат» to the right side below.

And there is one useful thing I wanted to tell you about. On SharedTalk you can create your personal Network of your friends. You can see the button «My Network» on the main page.

So everyone you're meeting on voice or text chat you can add to your Network and then it'll be easy for you to find him. It's very convenient. So how to add a friend to your Network?

Let's back to the voice chat and choose some member from the list. Just click one time on his name. Now you can see the button «Просмотр профиля» below the list. Click on it. Now you can read the information about the person you chose. And also you can see a little «+» to the right side of profile information. The Plus means «Add to my Network». So just click on it and you'll add the man to your Network. And next time you'll find him without any problems. That's it!

So guys I told you about most important functions of SharedTalk and I hope everything is clear with it. There are some more features on this website, but I think you'll manage to learn them on your own.
