Система компьютерной алгебры GAP: VII workshop in Lie Theory and its applications
Dear colleague,
We are pleased to announce the
VII workshop in Lie Theory and its applications
to be held in Cordoba and in La Falda (Sierras de Cordoba), Argentina,
from November 23rd to December 1st, 2009. This will be the seventh
in a series of Lie Theory Workshops organized since 1985, which have
been met alternatively at ICTP and Co'rdoba (Argentina).
------------------------------------------------
The main aim of this Workshop is to bring together specialists,
researchers and students working on various aspects of Lie theory and
its applications
Some areas of interest are:
representation theory, noncommutative harmonic analysis, groupoids and
algebroids, mathematical physics.
The scientific program consists of :
- three courses on topics of current interest taught by leading
experts that will be complemented with working sessions focused in
particular areas of interest of the participants and where students
will be able to ask questions and expose the obstacles they are facing
in their research
- and plenary talks and poster sessions for graduate students and
postdocs to promote the diffusion and discussion of results among
researchers.
------------------------------------------------
From November 23rd to November 25th in Famaf, Universidad Nacional de
Co'rdoba, the following courses will be offered:
- "Harmonic analysis on Lie groups". J. Faraut (Institut de
Mathe'matiques Analyse Alge'brique. Universite' Pierre et Marie Curie,
Francia).
- "Representations of Lie superalgebras". V. Serganova (University of
California, Berkeley, USA).
- "Differential equations on loop spaces". R. Heluani (University of
California, Berkeley, USA).
