Increasing energy efficiency and utilizing the potential of renewable energy sources globally is one of the most promising ways to tackle climate change. The countries of South-Eastern Europe are challenged with numerous economic and environmental problems caused by their inefficient and polluting energy systems. However, these problems present an opportunity for a significant increase in energy efficiency and RES application as a way of reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

Focused on these hot issues for the Region, the 7th edition of the International EE & RES Congress and Exhibition for SE Europe will showcase again the latest equipment, technology and services from the energy sector and will attract the public and business attention to the benefits of renewable energy use and the different means for energy saving.

The event is supported by the Ministry of Environment and Water, Serbian Energy Efficiency Agency, Bulgarian Energy Efficiency Agency, Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP), European Solar Thermal Industry Federation (ESTIF) and European Technology Platform `Renewable Heating & Cooling' (RHC).

EXHIBITION 2011

- 6 months prior to its opening there are already booked areas for official participation of Spain; group participations from Austria, China, Finland, Slovenia and the USA and inquires from Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Switzerland;

- NEW: Upon request 5 Matchmaking Meetings for each exhibitor will be offered as a value-added opportunity. The Organizer Via Expo will arrange meetings with potential clients/partners in special, pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings at NO additional cost;

- Will take place on an enlarged area compared to the 2010 edition;

- 2/3 of the exhibition area is already booked

* 117 direct participants and 118 represented companies from 27 countries, *90% growth compared to 2009, *national and group participations from Germany, Austria and the USA.
Visitors
* 3522 specialists from 33 countries from Europe, the USA and Asia, working in the field of RES, EE, construction and architecture, automation, environment, finance, etc. *49% of the visitors were managers; *24 % - consultants; *15% - marketing and sales; *8% - technical experts.
