(Shortwaves)

Australia
May 12 at 1400, found pop instrumental music on 13775, 1402 into Chinese, no jamming, fair to good signal. First checking PWBR
`2008` the only listee is RFA Palau, jammed in an `other` language, but surely they would have news on the hour. As usual, only
updated online listings would later identify this properly. Aoki and Eibi say: CVC Darwin at 1000-1500 in Mandarin. And RFA is not
using 13775 at all this season (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 13/05/2008)

5025 and 4835 kHz, ABC, 2130 (S/on) to 2147, May 13. 5025
opens with news on bombing in India. Read alternately by female and male
spkr. Some music. Both freqs good signal quality. Both fade away ariund
2200. (Giovanni Carboni, Rome, Italy - CumbreDX 14/05/2008)

Darwin and 783 Alice Springs, then mx bridge, and another ID by M at 0930.
Into nx by same W. Much better by 1000. Noisy conditions though.

(Afganistan)
R. Solh, 17700 via Rampisham UK, finally audible here again May 13 after a long absence due to poor propagation. Only poor to fair
signal with occasional peaks, and lots of fades, from tune-in 1332 with music; 1344-1346 talk, 1346-1349 the sticking CD, so quickly
confirming they are STILL playing exactly the same defective recording as they have done every day since at least last fall!
1359-1400 a pause in modulation but no carrier break, 1400-1404 talk, but can it be news or just the same old propaganda
announcements also duplicated daily? 1419 into familiar music I have recorded and uploaded before. Still trace of it at 1600
recheck, but quite poor. Can its reappearance be accounted for by SWPC numbers? Not really: for May 12, solar flux was 68; at 1200
May 13, K=1; at 1500, K=2. Repeat performance May 14 at 1332+ (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA = dxldyg 14/05/2008)

Belarus
7360, Radio Belarus, 2150-2200, May 16, English
programming with local pop music program. Into listed Russian at
2200. Fair to good signal but audio somewhat muffled as usual.
Much weaker on // 7390. (Brian Alexander, PA, USA - dxldyg 17/05/2008)

Bolivia
3390.16 R. Camargo (tent.) Definite tlk by M at 0001, then mix
of mx and tlk later. Could still detect mx at 0027. Sounded like it was
still there at 0053, but definitely gone by 0110 recheck. Just not strong
enough to dig it out of the noise. (Dave, 15 May - CumbreDX 17/05/2008)

4409.75 R. Eco (pres.) Nice soft LA Rom. Mx at 0110 t/in. M

In DXLD 8-056, and 8-057 MOLDOVA, I mentioned CRI relay via Brasil on 9665 at 0200, but just noise and distortion. Mauno Ritola
asked me to confirm whether this was really the case, since in Finland all he hears is VOR via Moldova.

Yes, CRI relay on 9665, presumably still Brasil, is definitely there. UT May 13 I did not get to check at 0100, but at 0240 there
was only VOR Moldova // 9480 Germany. And that was very much bothered by much stronger 9660 NHK Bonaire in Portuguese.

Recheck 9665 at 0259: S9+20 open carrier, 0300 into CRI IS and opening in Spanish, but very undermodulated. As far as I could tell
it was not too distorted, but muffled. There was a fast SAH, maybe about 15 Hz, with presumed Moldova, which is still supposed to be
on with VOR English to NAm after 0300 (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 13/05/2008)

So like 6290, here is another Cairo Arabic service that is closing one hour earlier than originally in winter (and beginning of
A-season) since DST started in late April. I wonder why these shifts don`t show up in any published schedules for this station? I
bet Wadi el Nil is also starting an hour earlier than before, 1600 instead of 1700. Please check if you can hear it then (Glenn
Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 13/05/2008)

India
Thursday 15 May 2008 at 1940 on 11620. All India Radio dominating but
unlistenable, in my opinion, due to Spain. Back to normally excellent
reception of All India Radio by 2140 for some nice Indian music.

Iran
6027 Mashhad VOIRI Arabic 1630-0530
I don't know whether this is a long term problem but between 2235 and
2245 on 13 May 2008 this transmitter was off frequency. I found it
strange that both 6025 and 6030 were very quiet so minimal het was in
evidence. In other parts of the world and at other times hets would be
severe. If this is old news (Glenn) please point me towards the
previous bulletin - otherwise, are others noticing this problem?
(Dan Goldfarb, Brentwood, England - dxldyg 14/05/2008)

Israel
15785.0, Galei Zahal, 2130-2145, May 16, Hebrew talk.
Local pop music. Techno-pop dance music. Phone talk. // 6973.0.
Both frequencies fair to good. (Brian Alexander, PA, USA - dxldyg 17/05/2008)

Firedrake check May 12 at 1356: 12050, 12040, 11990, 11805- under RHC, 11785, 11665, 11605, 11590-which went off at 1400. At 1400,
12050 was open carrier, not sure Firedrake or target, while 12040 was still running FD. At 1411, FD back on 12050, and 12040 FD with
a SAH. Also FD VG at 1409 on 15285. This was not an exhaustive search for all audible FD, but at 1413 also found generally weaker
ones on 11510, 9450, 9605, 9845, 9930; and at 1416 on 14410, as I did make a point of bandscanning the non-broadcast MHz segments up
to 18 MHz. The last surely against Sound of Hope, fortunately staying above the hamband (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 13/05/2008)

6060, Sichuan PBS-2, 1331-1404, May 13, in Chinese, not the
usual music programming due to the devastating earthquake in that
area, mostly just man and woman having conversation, some Chinese
ballads. Even with the quake this is still on the air. For the last
few weeks has been heard with above average reception, fair to almost
good (Ron Howard, Carmel, CA, USA - dxldyg 14/05/2008)

Some CNR -1s start broadcast for 24 hrs on SW and MW.
I confirmed that CNR -1 was done Service of to May 13 after 1735 UT on

And 4820kHz,6200kHz of Tibet PBS-XZDT Lhasa relay CNR -1.

Firedrake check, May 14 at 1314 found lots of the regulars such as 15285, but also some I had not noticed before, 15330, 15795 and
even propagating on 17565, long path? Despite usual poor signals overall on 16m. Aoki has the answers: 15330 is BBC Uzbek via Cyprus
during this semihour only. 15795 is All India Radio, Chinese via Bangalore at 1145-1315. 17565, however, is unaccounted for not only
in Aoki, but Eibi, HFCC, and WRTH, so bears further investigation. Firedrake was also audible before 1300 on 14410 vs Sound of Hope
(Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 14/05/2008)

CHINA. 6060, Sichuan PBS-2, 1315-1355, May 15, in Chinese, BoH into
program of on-air phone calls about the quake (some emotional - one
woman crying), parallel 7225 has resumed broadcasting, clearly heard
under VOA in Korean (slight gap from 1359:35* when they change from
Thailand to Tinian *1400:10). After 1355 started to fade out. Also
heard Myanmar (5985) and Laos (6130) with fair reception today (Ron
Howard, Monterey, CA, Eton E5, dxldyg via DX LISTENING DIGEST)

The morning of May 17, Firedrake musical jamming was all over the place, so I checked some of them out, here arranged in frequency
rather than logging time order. Victims looked up in Aoki:

17565, the Firedrake jammer against variable V. of Tibet via Uzbekistan was on here until 1400* and did not return later. The day
before yesterday was on 17575, the day before that on 17565.

15285, FD very good mixing with BBCWS Chinese ID (via Singapore) at 1359. This one produces an interesting effect by tuning to 15280
or 15290 during the high-audio-frequency segments, which I have not noticed on other FD outlets. Sort of like listening to a
different version of the music. With BFO on, no spurious carriers on the sidebands, however.

14410, FD as Sound of Hope jammer at 1411. SOH not audible.

13830, FD audible at 1350, vs inaudible RFA Tibetan via Tajikistan.

13365, first one checked, FD at 1349 // 11990 and all the others. 13365 presumably against one of the inaudible low-power Sound of
Hope transmitters. Rather than turning off at hourtop for monitoring check, 13365 was in open carrier at 1402, resuming music at
1404:30.

12040, FD very good at 1412, but with SAH of about 5 Hz and victim audible under, VOA Chinese via Philippines.

11990 at 1349, FD vs inaudible VOA Chinese via Novosibirsk.

11965 at 1417, weak FD vs inaudible VOA Chinese via Tinang.

11805 at 1415, FD overriding RHC Spanish, not usually the case. Commies vs Commies! Vs. inaudible VOA Chinese via Tinian.

11665 at 1413 FD; vs inaudible RTI Chinese.

11510 at 1413 FD mixing with something, i.e. VOA Tibetan via Sri Lanka.

9845 at 1421, FD, SAH and co-channel audible from victim, VOA Chinese via Tinang

9605 at 1420, FD mixing with Chinese, BBCWS via Singapore.

9450 at 1418, FD against a hi-power Taiwan Sound of Hope, with SAH.

These are just the tip of the Firedrake iceberg, against many more victims if I had kept digging or FE propagation were even better.

How can China expect any respect from the nations whose broadcasts it tries to block, let alone from the world at large? (Glenn
Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 17/05/2008)

(Colombia)
6010, La Voz de tu Conciencia, HJDH ID just as I tuned in, May 12 at 0643. Lo audible het with XEOI, annoying collision, as both
were about same strength, LVC continuing with some stealth religion talk, while R. Mil was trying to keep Mexican music alive (Glenn
Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 13/05/2008)

5910, Marfil Estereo, Lomalinda, 0523-0535, 14-04, canciones
(Mendez)

Spanish Language news both local and international. Signal was good with no
fading noted.

(Cuba)
I tuned past 6000 kHz at 0330 UTC 05/16, and just by chance caught the start of a 5-minute "special news bulletin" presented by
Arnie Coro, summarizing a roundtable discussion that was apparently held in Havana on the topic of anti-Castro broadcasts from the
US to Cuba over the years (or as he put it, "the United States of America's radio and television aggression against the Cuban
nation"). He briefly covered everything from Radio Swan to the current airborne broadcasts, and needless to say it was a bit of a
shock hear Arnie talking about Radio Marti and the like.

I'm not familiar enough with RHC's schedule to know if it might repeat later in the evening, but if so it's definitely worth a
check. (Mark Schiefelbein, MO, USA - dxldyg 16/05/2008)

Evening broadcasts run in 2-hour repeat cycles, so should show up at 0530
(Glenn H., OK, USA - dxldyg 16/05/2008)

Laos
Hmong Lao Radio via WHRI, Sat May 17 at 1330, talk and bits of traditional music, no rap, thank a god. Altho a good signal, this is
no longer the super-signal it used to be from 250 kW Angel 2. It has been demoted to 100 kW Angel 6, as implied but not stated in
the WHR online schedules, and confirmed in registrations as 100 kW now while in B-07 this was 250 kW, still at 315 degrees toward
Hminnesota. IBB Udorn at 30 degrees toward us + Firedrake still audible underneath (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 17/05/2008)

(Lithuania)

Marocco
15345, May 16 at 2038 had Arabic dominating in poor signal, but with a very fast SAH estimated around 25-30 Hz. With BFO on, it was
obvious there were two carriers offset, as two hets at once could be heard by sidetuning slightly, the other being of course
Argentina (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 17/05/2008)

New Zealand

4826.49, Radio Sicuani, 0245-0304*, May 16, Peruvian music.
Spanish announcements. ID. Abrupt sign off. Weak but readable.
Reception better than usual but still with CODAR QRM. (Brian Alexander, PA, USA - dxldyg 17/05/2008)

Peruvian Radio Victoria usually heard in Tiquicia almost anytime on 9720, was detectable for the first time on weaker //6020 at 0800
when no other South American station was listenable. Fair to poor signal, clear audio with long talks about the International
Commerce Meeting in Lima, so different from the usual distorted daytime praying and preaching transmissions. (Raul Saavedra, Costa
Rica - dxldyg 17/05/2008)

Swaziland
4774.94, Trans World Radio, 0448-0500 Noted two males in English

In futile check of Aoki for target of Firedrake heard on 15470 until 1300*, I noticed this entry, which would be a new frequency for

(Ecuador)
Finally had a chance to check out HCJB`s ham-transmitter on 21455, supposedly USB but recently reported as LSB. May 16 around 1830 a
weak signal, but it was in German and equally LSB/USB --- that`s WYFR to Europe, weak enough to be HCJB but which uses this
frequency 1600-1945, with HCJB before and after. At 2038 in Spanish, now it`s really HCJB and yes, reduced carrier plus USB, not
LSB, very weak. So there (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 17/05/2008)

Radio Africa. In a follow up email to
Albert Asante (agent for R. Africa in Ghana), I asked if they listened
to just SW or did they also have local AM-FM stations carrying R.
Africa programming. He responded: "We in Ghana listen to Radio Africa
only on the shortwave radio" (Ron Howard, CA, USA - dxldyg 14/05/2008)

(Japan)
NHK Warido R. Japan via Sackville, 11705, May 17 at 1423 during World Interactive also had a weak pre-echo, indicating another
transmitter site also on 11705. In fact, we found it odd that in A-07, Yamata is also registered to 11705 at 1315-1430, 235 degrees
in various languages, and indeed we heard it earlier at 1315, but it`s normally inaudible, and I thought it really went off at 1400,
but the current schedule http://www.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/english/radio/shortwave/all.pdf
does show 11705 as in English at 1400-1430 to SE Asia, following Indonesian at 1315. This was an above-average ``FE morning``, cf

(Germany)
The commercial German station Truckradio ceased to transmit on
mediumwave this week. Julich 702, Nordkirchen 855 and presumably also
Hirschlanden 738 were switched off on Monday or Tuesday, and today Burg
531 has been turned off as well. At present the web stream and the fully
subsidized DAB relays at Halle/Saale and Magdeburg (local 1.5 GHz
ensembles only) are still on but with music only, and today nobody could
be reached at Truckradio anymore, so it's not even sure if this
continued playout is intended at all.

Those who can point a satellite dish at 23.5 deg. East could check if
the Astra 3A transmission on 11.515 GHz h is still on. This is or was a
64 kbps mono signal, merely meant as feed to the mediumwave
transmitters.

A peculiarity of Truckradio was or perhaps still is that they had live
relays of Deutsche Welle German for TOH news. Gossip has it that
Truckradio could do these rebroadcasts free of charge, but details of
this arrangement are unknown. The problem is here that companies like
dpa-RUFA (audio service of Deutsche Presseagentur) and BLR/Radiodienst
offer news for commercial stations (including RTL Radio in German; this
"national station for Germany" has not even an own news department), so
one could argue that this arrangement deprived either company from
attracting Truckradio as a customer.

No repeat of yesterday's Sporadic-E here today, except for a brief spell of Hungarian audio on 87.6 at around 1500 utc.
Band 1 TV was much more lively though with Hungary, Moldova and Belarus video observed during the afternoon.

My first decent video of the season with the MUF just about reaching R3
and some probable 2x Es towards the Black Sea region. There were a
number of 0 and +1 offsets on R1, some of which were unstable, one
strong carrier that appeared with very weak video at the same as
Budapest was a wide messy carrier almost exactly on 0 offset, possibly

having looked again I'm not sure if it isn't arabic writing. The Band
was open to the Middle East at the time.

Did actually receive some shortly after I sent the message
yesterday.Tunisia E4 & the Cape Verde beacon on 6 metres.

The E4 Tunisia transmitter has a fault-It radiates sound at 5.5MHz
BELOW the vision carrier as well as the usual 5.5 MHz above.
Vision frequency is approx 62.24 MHz so the sound appears around
56.74 MHz.I remember this last year & no one seems to have bothered
to fix it.Sound is quite good quality & is often stronger than the
"proper" sound frequency of 67.74 MHz if the MUF is low.

A good, strong SPE opening today here in Doha yielded the following

Syria seemed to have the same logo as Satellite without the extra

I recorded clips via Win TV USB card, I'll post any that are good.

13.05, 1058UTC, 11775кГц, позывные AWR, ID на английском "This is
AWR...KSDA...".

Voice of

17730 1000 1300 29,30 LAM 100 77

1234567 300308 251008 D D IBB IBB 1995

9585 1900 2000 29 LAM 100 55
1234567 300308 251008 D D IBB IBB 1565

> 9585 1900 2000 29 LAM 100 55
> 1234567 300308 251008 D D IBB IBB 1565

WYFR arab,

What the heck is going on with 15170? I'm listening at 03:11 UTC 16May with just a very strong loud buzzing sound. No audio
otherwise heard. Is this the BSKSA? Anyone else hearing the same thing?.......Walt Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada - dxldyg
16/05/2008)

Yes, that`s it; see DXLD 8-055: (Glenn Hauser)

The original "buzzy" is now with this (almost) new schedule:
0300-0550 15170
0555-0850 9675
0855-1150 11935
1155-1455 17820 (Bengali px)
1500-1800 9640 (Turkmen px)
1555-1750 15205
1755-2308 11915
So they have already two such of signals? (Mar 5 & 6). (Rumen Pankov,
Bulgaria, March 6, wwdxc BC-DX TopNews via Buschel, ibid.)

It`s certainly defective transmitter from BSKSA, as noted numerous
times here and by Wolfy, not jamming. Been that way for years. Sure,
they could afford to fix it, but why bother? (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 16/05/2008)

Super-enthusiastic sports coverage in English, Sat May 17 at 1421 on 9840. I figured it must be BBCWS so tried to // it to
21470-Ascension, which was just barely audible. I think it was // but less certain once I look up 9840 and do not find BBC there.
WHRI is normally dominating 9840; the online WHR sked, however shows Angel 2 during that hour only on Sat and Sun, and this
nevertheless was Sat (Glenn Hauser, OK, USA - dxldyg 17/05/2008)

This would have been the FA Cup Final at Wembley, live at 1400-1550 UTC,
which I have just watched on TV. BBCWS has commentary rights. The result was
Portsmouth 1, Cardiff City 0 for those of you who are interested in silly
ball games :-) (Andy S., Netherlands - dxldyg 17/05/2008)

"I have a problem" with the Saudi Arabian "Barrie" circuits.
When I search for parameters for the VFT BR6028 format I found
that the pilot tone is on 561.1Hz while all 7 tones/channels
are 170Hz spaced (Saudis with ARQ-E/46.1/170Hz).
The frequencies given by other members are always 1.2 kHz lower
as the ALE link-controls, means they are on .8 - but when I
dial on 560 Hz on the "scope" my TS-50 always show a frequeuncy
ending at .6 and the last (7th) tone/channel is not 170 Hz spaced
from the 6th but about 250Hz. Do the Saudis have a different
BR6028 format with a "different" pilot tone and a different
space system? I saw that they have 7channel and 4channel VFTs
running. For the missing 3 channel I could saw an unmodulated carrier
on the upper FSK "line"? right?? I'm a bit confused with
these Saudi links ;-)

Has anyone a link for a spectrum format for the STANAG 4285. I try
to find any "common picture" on the screen but was so far not
successful. Any fixed pilot tone ?
I have added 2 of ALF's STANAG 4285 logs, the IDs are from the
ITU monitoring files, I hope they are correct??

Any idea about the XNet node on 8045 kHz ? The FCC database gave
as QTH Asheboro, NC while the XNet page "Dover, NC".
Both locations are far away from each others...

Any comments?

73, Tom

26710 "classic music melody" (sorry I'm not so used to ID this piece)
for intervals of 30 sec each, then QRT & back some times later.
Pager? clg devises? "Selcal" sys? Telephone "please wait-tape"?

27295 "2 tone siren".
ALF did some records and I have uploaded them on

http://freenet-homepage.de/adolle/sounds/26710-Melody.WAV
http://freenet-homepage.de/adolle/sounds/27295-Sirene.WAV

Some weeks I asked about a local pager of a local hospital
which was found by another friend. Now I got some WAV files.
Maybe have a listen to ID this system. I hear something like
a 2-tone selcal and FSK-preamble and finish sequence,
another colleague said that it is "FSK 4800 Baud", but that
sounds not so for me...
Any Ascom system? Maybe a Multitone Acess3000 System?

Sounds on:
http://freenet-homepage.de/adolle/sounds/27510-Pager.rar

There is a special "DXer" group dealing with SWLing these 11m sounds
on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Class_C_Telemetry, but that one
is 99,99% only on "US signals". Not much help for European Es
hunter...hi 11m seems to be a good playground for strange
digimodes and even voice or "sound" no-CB > Ute systems...
Pager, remote control, telemetry, alarming systems, local "broadcaster",
churches, "announcements", elevator music supplies etc.
But I think here in Europe it would a "new world" to discover ? hi

More questions:

New ALE-net on 7538 kHz: MR1 and FRA (MR1 was logged by Kristian
on 4561.0 to PL2 and as tent. Lithuanian Navy & "prob. Part of
MCOPLIT-2008") handshakes into serial tone modem traffic??.
7538 kHz was spotted with other player of the LTU Navy (JPQ, ALJ)
before in 2008. Therefore LTU would be a good guess.

11449 kHz show up with AU23 and IKB1. Absolutely new for me...

So far can't spot any "CE 2008" stations, they are to good
camouflaged ...hi

I look for a listing for these USN flight number prefixes.
E.g. "JV 050" > JV is a prefix for a specific unit/wing.
Can't find any newer version, only very old outdated ones.

BTW, who is the owner of PR-VDR to send the RR ? ;-)

73, Tom

OV-402 is again on and audible at 20:30 UTC in the Netherlands.
As we still don't have a clue, could someone in Italy take a listen?
A bearing should be most welcome.
The 1 x ID, DAID pattern would make Serbia or Croatia likely candidates.

Hi Roelof,
in the last month I have a very high local noise level but in this moment,
22.00 UTC, I receive OV-402 (rx 402.985) from east lobe of K9AY. Sorry, I
don't have accurate bearing.

Logged OV-402 at 2250 last night on 401.031 / 402.970 fairly good
signal with upper offset predominating - best direction for me seemed
about 100 deg. Thanks for the tip! (g3ufi - ndblist 13/05/2008)

It shows ZV-402 not OV.
Could it be ZV-420 from BIH ?

This is indeed ZV-402 ex ZV-420 from BIH. Logged here as well this
evening at 2057 UTC. Offsets noted were 400.995 and 403.026.
Coordinates still N44 27 52 E018 38 51. Checked for TU-445 but found

Last night I heard the reported ZV-402 with an offset of about
+1015Hz/-1015Hz and a cycle of 9.8 seconds . Keying was a bit slower
than OV-402. (Hartmut, Germany - ndblist 16/05/2008)

Logs from last two days. Re. ZV-402 as Hartmut mentioned in his
earlier post, last night I also logged ZV on the following 400.986 /
403.015 the upper offset being the better copy - assuming this is
Tuzla ex 420 and just a freq change - maybe not a new one?

May 16, 2008

Yesterday we had a one-day heat wave, with local temperatures around 90
degrees F.
This was the warmest day I remember in our years here. Offshore wind was
present, and also high atmospheric pressure.

It was also the day for the poorest ndb reception I remember. No Pacific
beacons were heard, including the regulars in Hawaii and the western
Aleutians. A few Alaskans were heard. Interior and northern Alaska reception
is poor now anyway, due to 24-hour daylight.

(Germany)
Mentioned in passing on Radio Romania International, as quoted in the
enclosed posting by Paul Gager: Gossip, picked up when attending a
seminar at Bonn, has it that the Bulgarian and Romanian programs of
Deutsche Welle are to be closed down by 2009.

These services had already been taken off shortwave at yearend 2006,
together with Albanian, Croatian, Polish, Serbian, Turkish and the
relays of RBB-produced Romanes, in conjunction with abandoning the
Wertachtal transmitters. Consider also the source of this gossip: It is
well possible that this is not the whole story and more language
services will be axed as well. (Kai Ludwig via Paul at a-dx 13/05/2008)

A group of russian, norweigan, german and swedish space physicists hve discovered that
electro magnetic radiation from strong radiotransmitters in the shortave band can cause
aurora borealis / northen lights.

The discover was made at a radio facility for space science near Tromso i northen Norway
and was confirmed by measurings both on the ground and by satellite. For the research it
was ofcourse a welcome discover that it's possible to trigger aurora with shortwave
transmitters, says Professor Bo Thide at the institute for space physics in Uppsala to the
newspaper Upsala Nya Tidning.

He is a swedish co-worker in the project that is led from the Antarctic Research Institute in
St. Peterburgs, Russia.

With this discover the space researchers gets complete new possibilities to study those
physical mechanisms behind the aurora borealis and it's equalence on the southerns
hemisphere. (sm6vpu - emwg 15/05/2008)

(M. Mendez, Lugo, Spain - hard-core-dx 17/05/2008)
