ЧТО НОВОГО? /WHAT’S NEW?/Russia may rebuild nuclear ties with US in spring – RBC, 26.09.2008, Moscow 13:04:25According to an optimistic scenario, Russia and the US may recommence diplomatic
relations promoting the agreement on the peaceful use of nuclear energy in the
spring of 2009, said a high-ranking source in the nuclear industry. In the worst
case scenario, however, cooperation may only begin in two to three years. One
of the most important issues in US-Russia relations, the source said, is the
fulfillment of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. Russia
will do everything possible in order to prevent its suspension, the source stressed.
