China: Official logos unveiled for Beijing 2022 Winter Games

New logos for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games were unveiled on Friday during the emblem launch ceremony at the National Aquatic Centre in the Chinese capital.
The logos were revealed by Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli, the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) Yu Zaiqing and Beijing 2022 President Cai Qi.
The process to create the logos started in July 31, 2016 and saw over 4,000 design proposals, more than double the number submitted for Beijing 2008.

The 2017 Champions League winners Real Madrid held their pre-match training session in Abu Dhabi on Friday, a day ahead of the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup final against South American champions Gremio.
The club's superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was seen on the pitch of the New York University Football stadium, training alongside Gareth Bale and Sergio Ramos.
Real Madrid will seek to retain their FIFA Club World Cup title against Gremio at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi, on Saturday, December 16.

Spanish national team and Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos spoke during a press conference in Abu Dhabi on Friday, saying that «it's hard to believe that Spain won't be in the World Cup in Russia,» following the news that La Roja could be kicked out of the competition.
«The results are there, the qualifying matches have been won, so I don't think that anything can influence in Spain playing the World Cup», explained Ramos, who was speaking ahead of Real's clash with Gremio in the World Club Cup final on Saturday.
Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) President Angel Maria Villar was suspended adding to suggestions there had been political interference inside the workings of the RFEF. Therefore, RFEF received a warning over being excluded from FIFA competitions if this was proven.

Friday’s match ended with scores of 120-107, 120-108 and 119-108.

Violent scuffles broke out in Saint-Etienne between members of the 'Stephanois' football fan-club and police on Friday, after the Saint-Etienne-Monaco match.
Enraged Saint-Etienne supporters hurled burning flares as they confronted police.
The clashes broke out by the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium after the home team lost 0-4 to Monaco.
