Система компьютерной алгебры GAP - Semigroups and Groups in Essex


Dear All,
 
Semigroups and Groups in Essex (SAGE) is a workshop taking place at the University of Essex
on 28th-29th August this year. The theme of the conference is semigroup and group theory and
related topics.
 
Confirmed plenary speakers so far are:
 
    - John Fountain (York)
    - Peter Higgins (Essex)
    - Derek Holt (Warwick)
    - Jim Howie (Heriot Watt)
    - Mark Kambites (Manchester)
    - Rick Thomas (Leicester)
    - Claas Roever (Galway)
    - Nik Ruškuc (St. Andrews)
 
In addition to these plenary talks, the organizers invite participants to give talks. Prospective participants
should register their intention to attend by contacting Gerald Williams or Alexei Vernitski, indicating if
they would like to give a talk.

There is a limited funding available for Ph.D. students: those interested in applying for support are encouraged
to contact the organizers as soon as possible.
 
The workshop is sponsored by the London Mathematical Society and is being organized by Gerald Williams,
Alexei Vernitski, and Peter Higgins.
