ASIANA Global Travel Service – leading on-line travel agency from the Czech Republic
well-known for its innovative on-line booking engine LETUSKA.COM was invited
to the training course organized by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development
(UNCTAD) to share an experience in successful activity in e-tourism. 


The purpose of the training course "ICT and electronic commerce for development"
(organized by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in cooperation
with Czech government) that took place in July 2004 in Prague was to familiarize
policy makers from transition economies with the challenges and opportunities
of informational society, with importance of national e-commerce strategies as
well as with possibilities of usage of such ICT tools as open source, e-tourism
and e-finance to accelerate the process of economic development.


The matter of the presentation of ASIANA (conducted within UNCTAD training course)
were issues concerned with the role of Internet in present travel business, technology
of modern e-tourism tools (including examination of unique technological solutions
of LETUSKA.COM on-line booking engine developed by ASIANA) as well as possibilities
how to use them effectively. Presentation stimulated great interest and grew
into discussion about trends of development of e-tourism.

and e-commerce as a whole in the countries with transition economies as well
as by efforts of policy makers to share an experience and get information about
new tendencies and opportunities in this field", comments Mgr. Oleg Bril, Marketing
Manager of ASIANA Global Travel Service.
