The Act on amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation in accordance with stating general education as obligatory is come into effect from September 1, 2007
The Federal Act N 194-FZ of July 21, 2007 (document is in
Russian) makes amendments to certain legislative acts of the
Russian Federation, and in accordance with them persons learning
on stages of general, basic general and middle (full) general
education, having academic debt on one subject under results
of school year shall be transferred to the next year on condition.
Learning persons are obliged to liquidate the academic debt
during following school year, educational institutions are obliged
to create conditions for learning persons for liquidation this
debt and to provide control over timeliness of its liquidation.
