Work is used as a verb or a noun. People who work have a job which they are paid
to do. You can use "as" with work to say what person's job is. Ex: Pam work's
as a doctor. Work can be used as an uncount noun:
.....people who can't find work.
.....different types of work.
When someone has a job, you can say that they are in work. When someone doesn't
have a job, they out of work.
Employment is a formal word with a similar meaning to work: Of those who had
paid jobs, only half were in full-time employment.
A person's job is a particular set of duties which they are paid to do.Ex: Her
mother had a cleaning job.
Your occupation is your job. Occupation is often used on official forms.
Profession and trade are both used to refer to types of job which require special
training.
Business is used to refer to work that involves making, buying or selling things.

Job has another meaning. You can use it to refer to one particular thing that
needs to be done: It will be a long job, I'm afraid.
